Egret Cottage on the Albemarle Sound is a rural, quiet retreat in a serene setting. It’s a great escape for paddlers, writers, photographers, artists—you. The only sounds are the waves, the wind, and the birds. The Albemarle Sound is at your doorstep and you’re just a short drive to the Outer Banks beaches. We’re located off one of the main thoroughfares to OBX—about 45 miles to Nags Head. The quaint town of Columbia on the Scuppernong River is 5 miles away.

Betty’s Bungalow
Betty’s Bungalow Is located 4 miles south of Columbia on Levels Road. You can enjoy walking around the farm, the quiet Levels community, or along the boardwalk in the picturesque town of Columbia. There is ample parking for boats and horse trailers. Pasture board is available for the equestrian enthusiasts for a nominal fee. When out and about, be sure to visit the Columbia Museum and the visitor center and learn about the history of Columbia.
