Sunset E-Bike Tour of Siesta Key
After a thorough tutorial and fitting of the bikes we'll make our way immediately out onto the #1 beach in the country. We ride to the Southern-most point, Crescent Beach and Point of Rocks. We share a bit about the area then continue on, making our way all the way to the Northern-most point of the Key, Sunset Point. There is a local gentleman that puts on a flag lowering ceremony complete with Taps on the bugle each night as the sun sets, we stick around to observe this then ride the entire length of the beach back to our starting point. We take plenty of photos throughout and send them at the end so you are sure to have plenty of mementos to remember our adventure! Other things to note Although no special clothes or shoes are necessary to ride, I do recommend wearing something comfortable as we will be on the bikes the entirety of the tour.

Glassblowing-Art made by melting glass
When our participants arrive we ask each Of them to look at our showcases and see what other students have made as well as items we’ve made and decide what kind of idea they have in their head that they would like to make. Between looking at the items, talking to us and looking at the colors we have available, each participant is able to decide whether they want a pendant that they can wear as a reminder, a marble that they can display or a small critter such as a dolphin, Manatee, flamingo, turtle or a small mermaid. The list goes on and on. Our participants will pick the colors that they want to see in there object, we will help the participant with placing the glass in the flame mixing colors together and shaping the glass together. At that point the instructor hast to take over and shape the finishing touches on the item, if it’s a pendant, we put a loop on it so it can be worn, if it’s a critter, we put the finishing touches on it after the main colors have been mixed. In any event, each participant goes home with an item they can wear or display with pride, knowing that they took part in creating the peace
Biologist guided hike through pristine wetland
Real Florida awaits ~ I’ll guide us through an expansive and pristine floodplain along the historic Estero River. Humans have thrived off this fertile land for over 4000 years. Beginning definitively with the Calusa, southwest Florida has since had its share of diverse and interesting inhabitants including, Spanish missionaries, wild pirates, Cuban fisherfolk, cracker cowboys, industry giants, and more (I’m big on storytelling!) Our hike to the coast uncovers a variety of beautiful native and migratory birds, productive nurseries for fish, shellfish, and amphibians, sweeping natural vistas, and dense mangrove forests. The trails are primitive and can include muddy footpaths. This being said, the hike is approachable for beginners. Pesky biting insects can be encountered on the trail so be sure to bring bug repellent. While hiking Real Florida, be sure to wear a hat, long sleeve shirt, pants, and old tennis shoes. It is my passion to explore the wonders of this state and to help spread awareness of conservation and Florida history. My goal is to give you an enjoyable, educational, and eye-opening experience that you’ll never forget! If you’re ready, let’s make it happen!! ~ I am happy to accommodate special requests and specific dates (those not listed, etc.) Please reach out at your convenience! ~
