Panama Canal Tour
The Panama Canal Visitor Center in Panama City is open! We will visit the Amador Causeway, a road that connects four small islands on the Pacific, and was made with the excavated materials from the Canal. The Amador Causeway offers stunning views of Panama City skyline and the Pacific entrance of the Canal. Depending on the traffic, I will drive you through the Bridge of the Americas, one of the bridges over The Panama Canal. After crossing the bridge, we will visit a viewpoint, a special spot where you can take pictures of the bridge, the Pacific ports, and the ships. Then, we will stop at the Goethals Monument, a beautiful white Vermont marble structure built to honor George Washington Goethals for his achievements during the Panama Canal construction. Behind the Goethals Monument, you will see the Panama Canal Administration Building, a landmark of the Panamanian history built in 1914. Our next stop is at the Panama Canal Miraflores Locks Visitor Center, where you may see the ships while they pass through the Canal. You will learn about its history, operation and recent expansion. After the tour, you will be driven back to the meeting point.

Panama Canal Jungle Walk

We will drive 30km to the Soberania National Park's Pipeline Road, and hike through the jungle for about three hours and admire the amazing forest with some impressive centennial trees. After the hike we will take some time for a snack break right next to the Panama Canal. To finish off the tour, we will drive south along the Canal while sharing historical facts and anecdotes before dropping you back at your desired location in the city. Colonial District Sunset Walk

We'll meet by late afternoon at The Plaza Herrera from where we'll start our historical walk going around the narrow streets and appreciating the mix of the architecture styles present in this colonial town, visiting several Churches and Squares , the ancient fort that protected the city. while your guide provides you interesting historical facts about the events that shaped this World Heritage Site. Also you'll have the opportunity to interact with locals along the way and visit the different shops offering souvenirs or enjoying some the local street food due the different options in the area. Jungle hike and Embera lifestyle
I will pick you up at your accommodation in Panama City or meeting point if desired and head to the Chagres National Park. Once at the port by the Chagres River, the friendly Embera villagers will take us in a traditional boat by this river, the main source of water for the Panama Canal. We will leave the boat at one shore of the river where we will the hike through a trail in real jungle, this is walking over dirt and/or mud crossing a creek several times to a hidden and pristine waterfall where we will swim in shallow and crystal clear water, then we will hike by the same trail back to the boat and head to the village where you will be welcomed by the Embera community. There, we will have fruits and lunch while the nocó (chief) share with us about their way of life inside a traditional huts without walls to allow air circulation. This time is complemented by a performance of their traditional music and dance. Finally, we will go back to the port and then rest in the car while you enjoy the way back to your accomodation in Panama City. Something to note: The trail is in the jungle (as is) so this experience might be challenging o not suitable for people with reduced mobility however I had people with knee surgeries completing the hike so we can do it together!

This is a perfect introduction to Panamanian culture and traditions. We are going to learn more about the history of Casco Viejo, El Chorrillo ans Santa Ana neighborhoods. I will be talking more about how the gentrification is affecting local people and how tourism is making impact in the life of Panamanian. We will be having different stops at different local bars and restaurants where we will be tasting local flavour. El Chorrillo is known today for gang violence and i want to show you the best way to see the undiscovered side of Panama. This ia the two faces of Panama and NON touristy neighborhood we will meet some locals playing dominoes and playing football or having drinks in local cantinas ans we are going to taste ceviche and local beers. Santa Ana is known today for the china town and the different cultures in Panama, we will walk the Avenida Central and visit Cafe Coca Cola, the most popular roots of Panama. Casco Viejo is a great experience because if the historical side of Panama where you will find cool restaurants and bars. I will recommend you where to have lunch or dinner. In general, i am going to share stories and my personal experiences. We are going to explore unseen places and see Panama City through local eyes and visit cool spots. You will not find these places in the typical guidebooks only by local eyes.
