Our lovely family home is ideally located for exploring Edinburgh and Leith, the city's creative and artistic hub and is situated in a vibrant area close to restaurants, pubs, parks and leisure facilities. It is ideal for guests with children and we can provide highchair/travel cot if needed.

Please note we can't accommodate more than four adults and three children (four, if one of these is an infant). Our cosy family home dates from the late 19th Century and contains several period features, whilst benefitting from all mod cons and being decorated in a contemporary style.
The living room of the house has a large flatscreen tv and an open fire that keeps it very cosy in the winter months. There is a separate play room for the kids, which contains a day bed that can comfortably sleep two adults and a second flat screen tv. At the rear of the house there is a spacious dining room that seats 6 comfortably, a recently refurbished bathroom with shower and bath tub and a recently refurbished kitchen - featuring an American style fridge freezer and a Smeg range cooker - with adjacent utility room. The small back garden is a real sun-trap on clear days. The fact that it is enclosed by a stone wall all around makes it ideal for small children to play with minimal supervision required. Upstairs there are two small children's rooms, one with a single bed and the other with a bunk-style bed, which is suitable for children from 3 up to around 12 years old. There is also the master bedroom upstairs, which benefits from a kingsize bed (although the ceilings are quite low, so wouldn't be ideal if you're over 6 feet (182cm) tall! As we have two young children we have all the stuff you will need for young kids such as:
- two Tripp Trapp high chairs that can be adjusted from baby through to 10 year old
- a proper baby high chair
- baby gate at the top of the stairs
- Travel cot (can be put up in any room that you like)
- lots of toys (including an X-box) and childrens' books
We can also help arrange for a childcare-qualified babysitter from the nursery our children attend if you're wanting to head out in the evenings without the kids!
The house is handy for bus and cycle routes into town and near local amenities. We have lots of cafes, supermarkets, shops, restaurants, parks, soft plays and the botanical gardens all within walking distance from the house.

There's a couple of store cupboards that we keep our private belongings in, everything else is open. We hope you will respect the fact that this is our family home.

Set back from a cobbled street in the historic Leith area of Edinburgh, we benefit from plenty of local amenities and great transport links by bus into the city centre. The vibrant Leith shore area, with its pubs, cafes and michelin-starred restaurants is only 10 minutes walk away and there is a library, a swimming pool/gym and a shopping mall all with 10 mins walk. We are also near Edinburgh Botanical Gardens.
