Converted from the historic 1928 John Deere Warehouse, enjoy staying at our spacious and relaxing loft in the heart of downtown Edmonton. Beautifully decorated with high quality furnishings and local artwork, this is the perfect space to relax and unwind. Located across the street from Grant MacEwan University and just steps away from Rogers Place and the Ice District offers guests easy access to everything downtown Edmonton has to offer.

Guests will have access to the entire loft with its large open floor plan, soaring open-beam ceilings, exposed sprinkler systems, concrete pillars, polished concrete flooring throughout, and natural light from a huge west facing window.

This relaxing and spacious environment comes with a fully stocked kitchen, king sized bed with high quality bedding, futon for a third guest, washer/dryer, Chromecast so that you can access your Netflix/Sundance/Prime account, and free underground parking for one registered vehicle.

We would be happy to welcome three guests, but please note that our loft is one huge 1200 square feet of open space. The only door in the loft is to the bathroom.

We will accept guests with young children with the understanding that our loft is not set up as a child-friendly environment (e.g. concrete floors, large concrete pillars, glass coffee table, art work & breakables throughout loft).

This is a very secure condominium residence. Only registered guests should be at the loft. There is a strict “No Events or Party” rule. Violation of this could result in immediate cancellation of the stay with no refund and/or an additional charge of $100 per unregistered guest, regardless of how long they were at the loft.

Our unique open-concept living space includes:
- Large open sleeping area with one king bed and wall-to-wall wardrobe.
- Futon in open area for a third guest or small children.
- Galley kitchen equipped with cooking utensils, pots and pans, dishes, cutlery, wine glasses, orange juicer, toaster, kettle, tea pot, blender, oil and vinegar, salt and pepper
- Electric stove, fridge, and dishwasher
- Microwave
- Coffee maker, French press, coffee bean grinder
- Coffee and tea
- Iron and ironing board
- Bathtub, shower, hand soap, shower gel, shampoo, blow dryer
- Wireless Internet, basic cable TV, and Google Chromecast (e.g., if you have Netflix, Sundance, Amazon etc. on your phone or other device, you can connect and watch on our TV)
- One heated underground parking stall

- Keypad entry to the loft.
- One heated underground parking stall. With advanced notice, arrangements can usually be made for free parking in the visitor area behind the building for oversize vehicles.
- Paid parking is available on the street or at a nearby lot for additional vehicles.
- Fob entry to the building and the underground garage. Please note there is $100 charge for not returning the building fob.
- If needed, a second fob is available upon request.
- When most guests arrive, they park their cars out front, bring their suitcase in and up to the loft using the elevator, and then go back down with the fob to park their car in the garage. There is an exit right beside our parking stall with stairs up to our loft.
- Most guests walk the two short flights of stairs from the underground parking area to our loft on the second floor. However, there is an elevator available from the parkade for guests who prefer this over stairs.

Guests with 5 star reviews are highly valued. An additional $2,000 security deposit for guests with LESS than a 5-Star review is required in addition to rent. This deposit will be returned to guest after inspection at check-out.

There is a fire station two short blocks south of the loft. If there is an emergency, you will hear sirens. Part of the ambience of living downtown!

Prior consent required for use of photography and / or videos taken within the private space on public or commercial forums. A location fee will apply, please inquiry first before booking!

If a baby is traveling with you:
There are stairs at the entrance of the building that could make it difficult to bring a baby buggy in and out of the building. There is also a (slim) chance that the elevator could be booked for moving, making the stairs the only access to the second floor.

If you have a toddler:
The floors are concrete and there are large pillars throughout the loft - not the best for young ones crawling or learning to walk. There is also a glass coffee table. The loft has NOT been child-proofed.

LOFT RULES:
We want you to enjoy your stay, but we also want to uphold a lasting relationship with our building partners. When booking our loft through Airbnb, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

- This is a work/live building with shared hallways and neighbours on both sides. While staying in our loft, guests must respect our neighbors by talking quietly in the hallways and keeping noise to a minimum between 10pm - 8am. There is a noise sensor inside the loft (records dB volume - NOT audio).

- For safety and insurance purposes, only registered guests are allowed to be at the loft. Building security requires that we can identify at any given time who is at our loft during each stay. If you would like to a visitor over during your stay, PRIOR notification AND consent is required. Violation of this expectation may result in your reservation being immediately cancelled with no refund and/or include an additional charge of $100 per unregistered person, regardless of the length of time they are at the loft.

- There is a strict rule against parties/gatherings/events at our loft. Guests will be asked to leave immediately upon notification from residents of such disturbances with no refund. There is a noise sensor inside the loft (records dB volume - NOT audio).

- The common areas of the building are under 24-hour surveillance. There are multiple security cameras throughout the building (including one outside our loft door), in the parking garage, foyer, and in the back alley. This is for everyone's safety. Covering the doorbell camera will result in immediate cancellation of the stay with no refund.

- No pets. We offer a pet-free environment and need to ensure that this for guests who might have allergies. As well, our condo board is strict about dogs and anyone who brings a dog into the building could face a $1000 fine. We would not want to have to pass this fine along to a guest.

- No smoking/vaping or illegal drug use.

- Check-out is at 11 AM unless we have agreed otherwise. Guests who overstay this time will be charged $30 hour while the cleaners wait to get into the loft.

- Please be clean and tidy! Garbage goes in the trash cans, dishes washed, spills cleaned up, and used towels put in the bathtub. Cleaning that occurs between guests includes sweeping and washing floors, cleaning the bathroom and kitchen, changing and washing linens, vacuuming carpets, replacing consumables/toiletries etc. Any cleaning beyond what would be expected (e.g. washing walls, sink full of dishes etc.), will be an additional charge of $50/hour. If requested, a local cleaning service can also be made available for long-term guests to maintain the cleanliness of the loft.

- There are two sets of 6 ft. X 6 ft. garbage dumpsters that can be found in the back alley for your use. Use the main lobbies back door for easiest access to back alley dumpsters. Use door to the left of the elevator in main lobby and don’t forget to bring the building FOB with you!

- Your reservation through Airbnb includes a security deposit which will be used to cover any damages and/or additional expenses mentioned above.

The loft is centrally located in the heart of downtown Edmonton providing easy walking access to anywhere you might need to go downtown. Public transit is available right outside the door and rapid transit a five minute walk away.

- East of the loft, you will find Rogers Place, art galleries, cafes, local breweries, gift shops, the Edmonton Art Gallery, the Winspear and Citadel theatres, City Center Mall, the new Alberta Museum and more. The Shaw Conference Centre is a 20 minute walk or quick LRT ride away.

- Across the street to the north, is Grant MacEwan University offering a public fitness center and the Centre for Arts and Culture.

- To the south, you will find unique, trendy and friendly shops, cafes, Audreys Books, restaurants, the beautiful Alberta Legislature grounds, and Edmonton's famous river valley!

- Heading west to the Brewery District, everything you need to make a great meal can be found in the Loblaw’s City Market where you can enjoy a patisserie, cheese shop and extensive fresh/specialty food section. There is also a Save-On Foods two blocks away.

- Want to explore further? I live in Edmonton very close to the river valley where I enjoy daily walks with my dachshund. I love Edmonton and the vibrant energy that the city has been generating in recent years!
