Hi there! Marieke here, welcome to our cozy blue house in Observatory, Cape Town!

Our home is full of natural light and all the comforts you'll need to make your stay in Cape Town spectacular!

Our house is a beautiful space that you can call home.

Painted bright blue, our house is a quirky little thing both inside and out! It's a quaint 2-bedroomed space with high ceilings and lots of natural light in the open-plan kitchen + dining + living area. We also have a front patio and back courtyard where you can BBQ.

As we're a family of 2, we've opted to use one of the bedrooms as a office space where we can work, read, relax or enjoy the little patio it flows onto. We've kept a sleeper-couch in the space though, so we can host more than 2+ people at a time.

The main bedroom is private, airy and has a wonderful bed! Block-out curtains on the window will ensure that the South African summer-sun doesn't wake you earlier than it needs to!

Our living + dining + kitchen space is what this house is all about. Open plan, airy and with lots of natural light (in both winter & summer), this is the space to entertain friends, cook together and cuddle up in front of the open fire-place.

We've tried to maximize our living space, without having to compromise on a simple & clean atmosphere. I won't say we're die-hard minimalists, but we've tried to keep our home clean of clutter.

Guest have private access to the entire house.
The main bedroom has a wonderful queen sized bed and plenty of wardrobe space.
The second room is used as an office that opens onto the front patio. It has a sofa couch that can a be used as a second bed. Bed linen, blankets and pillows are provided to turn the sofa into a bed.
The open plan living space (lounge, kitchen, dining area) is perfect for entertaining friends and relaxing between Cape Town adventures.
The lounge has a comfy couch which can be used as a bed and an open fireplace for winter snuggles.
The dining table can seat 4.
The kitchen has a gas stove with electric oven, fridge and washing machine.
The bathroom is clean and simple with a shower over the bathtub.
There is a cute little courtyard in the back with a braai (BBQ in South African)

Something you should know when visiting Cape Town, is that our city has a limited water supply - so save water wherever and whenever you can.

Based in the vibrant & village-esque neighbourhood of Observatory, our safe little house is typical of the dutch-heritage buildings of the area. Observatory is the area with the highest concentration of artists in Cape Town, which makes it a fun & creative area to live in. The neighbourhood itself is a mix of culture, race, age and beliefs, one of the best to experience Cape Town from.
