高山市, 岐阜県, יפן

Hida-Takayama retains a traditional touch like few other Japanese cities, especially in its beautifully preserved old town.

The Takayama Festival (高山祭, Takayama Matsuri) is ranked as one of Japan's three most beautiful festivals alongside Kyoto's Gion Matsuri and the Chichibu Yomatsuri. It is held twice a year in spring and autumn in the old town of Takayama and attracts large numbers of spectators.
The Spring Festival (April 14-15) is the annual festival of the Hie Shrine in the southern half of Takayama's old town. Since the shrine is also known as Sanno-sama, the spring festival is also called Sanno Festival.

Likewise, the Autumn Festival (October 9-10) is the annual festival of the Hachiman Shrine in the northern half of the old town, and the festival is also known as Hachiman Festival.

The spring and autumn festivals have similar attractions and schedules. Each festival features its own set of about a dozen festival floats (yatai). During the year, the tall and heavily decorated floats are stored in storehouses, which are scattered across Takayama's old town (except the floats exhibited in the Yatai Kaikan). A set of replica floats are, furthermore, exhibited year round at the Matsuri no Mori festival museum.

Takayama Jinya and Jinya Maeba Market
Takayama Jinya who won the Michelin Guide 2 stars is an unbearable spot for era fans of the Edo era!
Originally Takeshi Kanemori 's Shimoyashiki became the direct jurisdiction of the Tokugawa shogunate, officers and counties came from the Edo and became a government office. This office is called "Jinya" and there are more than 60 places nationwide, but here is the only place where the building remains!
There are many exhibits on the annual conventions and exhibitions on famous "Shirasu" and sinners familiarly at the magistrate office, so we definitely want to stop by slowly.

Nakabashi
The red bridge "Nakahashi" which is often seen in tourist guides is a sightseeing spot seen from Jinya. At the base of the bridge there is also a Higashi Shrine Travel Agency known as a power spot. In Hida Takayama sightseeing, I definitely want to place it in the camera ♪

Hida Takayama sightseeing rickshaw

At Hida Takayama, guide walking is also attractive with guide books, but how about a rickshaw that enjoys while taught by old-fashioned empathetic town house "traveling master"?
Since the car hire is professional to entertain tourists as well as rich knowledge, we can also get the impression that we could not meet alone ♪
When your eyes change, you will find another charm different from when walking. The view overlooking with a little elegant mood is also good. Of course I choose a nice place and take a commemorative photo so memories are perfect ♪
