Welcome to “Chez Caroline”, a self contained main floor suite in a duplex located in a quiet neighbourhood in the charming and historic St.Boniface area of Winnipeg. Walking distance to The Forks, Canada Life Centre, Canadian Museum for Human Rights, downtown Winnipeg, and a 7 minute walk to St. Boniface Hospital. Very close to all amenities including restaurants, grocery stores, bakery, and walking and cycling trails. Close to public transportation. Free parking for 2 vehicles.

My house is very cozy. cheerful, and comfortable. The whole space is yours to enjoy with 2 private entrances. A full kitchen provides coffee, tea, hot chocolate and basic cooking supplies , as well as all dishes, utensils, pots and pans, etc. The bedroom is at the back of the house and is very quiet- there is no second floor above this room. All bed linens, pillows, and towels are provided. The bathroom has a tub/shower combo, with shampoo, conditioner, soap, and body wash provided. The house is situated atop a small hill and there is a lovely view from the living room window. In the warmer months, enjoy the backyard patio with flowers, table and chairs. Please note that the upper suite of the house is occupied by a long time tenant. ALLERGY ALERT: Although the property is not listed as pet friendly, the host's dog is sometimes in the suite.

Guests have access to the entire main floor which includes living room with dining table/work space, eat in kitchen, bathroom and one bedroom with queen bed. There is another bedroom in the suite and a basement, but these areas are private and are locked( owner's personal property is located in these areas-upstairs tenant does not have access).There are two private entrances, at the front and at the side of the house. I would prefer that guests use the side door for entering/exiting, and front door for emergencies only. There are two indoor steps after entering the side door. There is an electrical outlet on the side of the garage adjacent to the parking space for block heater plug in. There is a patio with table chairs in the backyard. Smoking is allowed in the back yard.

The house is ideally located in St. Boniface, adjacent to downtown Winnipeg in an area known as the "French Quarter". It is a quiet and charming historic neighbourhood yet it is within walking distance of the excitement and many attractions of downtown Winnipeg such as The Forks, Canada Life Centre (home of the Winnipeg Jets! and major concerts, Shaw Park (baseball) and Canadian Museum for Human Rights. St. Boniface Hospital and Universite de St. Boniface are both a 7 minute walk from the house.
All amenities you may need for your stay such as groceries, laundry facilities, restaurants, liquor store, parks, and unique shops are less than a 10 minute walk away. St. Boniface Cathedral and Fort Gibralter are historic landmarks that are within easy walking distance.
