This spacious ensuite room comes with a view of the sun rising over Skiddaw without moving from your bed! The village I live in is very peaceful, but only 3 miles from Cockermouth, with all the cafes, restaurants and independent shops you need. If you are a keen cyclist try riding down to the foot of Honister and back before breakfast, or for swimmers we have some of the cleanest, clearest and most beautiful lakes within a short drive, or cycle ride.

If you enjoy peace and quiet you'll love my light and airy home. No sound of traffic at all, tucked away from the world, but in a village with easy access to Cockermouth and all that the Western Lake District has to offer. It is ideal for one person, a couple or if you are travelling with a friend I can offer a z bed.

You will have a large bedroom and a spacious ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower. Tea and coffee making facilities provided. Breakfast is a simple offering so you can eat when you please. There is a mini fridge to keep milk fresh. I also provide a microwave in case you want to prepare a simple evening meal as there are no pubs in the village.
The room is on the ground floor of my barn conversion and you will be able to come and go through it's own entrance, complete with parking, sitting out area and secure cycle storage (if you need it just ask in advance please).

My neighbours on either side also use the drive so please respect the parking arrangements and don't use their spaces to reverse into when coming and going, thanks :-))
Although the space has it's own entrance it is also connected and part of the rest of my home, where I live along with my family. You'll find it's very much a home from home - we're a quiet, friendly family, happy to chat, but equally just want you to have the relaxing break in our special little corner of Cumbria.
