Our house is one of the oldest in Bohinjska Bistrica, built in 1882. At one time it was a Restaurant and a Baker, but it was modernized about 10 years ago and the kitchen, bathroom and laundry are fully equipped with modern facilities to make your stay comfortable. There are 3 double bedrooms, 2 downstairs and 1 upstairs. There is balcony with table and seating and a small patio outside the kitchen. Upstairs there is a large lounge with TV, Radio, sofas and a dining table for entertaining.

Our house is one of the oldest in Bohinjska Bistrica, built in 1882. At one time it was a Restaurant and a Bakery, and the old mill stream runs beneath the cellar! It was modernised about 10 years ago and the kitchen, bathroom and laundry are fully equipped with modern facilities to make your stay comfortable. There are 3 double bedrooms, 2 downstairs and 1 upstairs, and 2 sofa beds offering extra sleeping space for youngsters. There is an upstairs balcony with table and seating and a small patio outside the kitchen. Upstairs there is a large lounge with TV, Radio, sofas and a dining table for entertaining. There are copious radiators (oil heated) and a log burning stove upstairs to warm those cold winter nights. In the summer the old, stout walls keep the house cool. There are other houses next to ours with friendly neighbours, and farms close by. There are two parking spaces next to the house, and further spaces nearby. Bikes and skis can be stored in the garage.

The Old House is situated in the centre of the village just a short walk of less than 5 minutes, using the short cut opposite the house, to the shops, the bank, the PO, the bars, restaurants and the swimming pool. The bus to the lake takes about 20 minutes and leaves from outside the bakery near the bridge as you leave the village. To catch the bus to Bled, Radovlica, Kranj or Ljubljana the bus leaves from the Obcina, (Town Hall) in the opposite direction. There is a wonderful walking/cycling path alongside the Sava River leading all the way to the lake, and there are walks and hikes which take you up into the mountains. Triglav of course is the highest mountain challenging climbers in Slovenia. Bohinj lake is the largest in Slovenia and is an ideal location for swimming, sun-bathing, canoing and kayaking. Fishing and cycling are other popular pursuits.
