One of a kind escape bungalow in secluded Blue Lake Springs, just on the outskirts of Arnold, Ca. Amazing, one of a kind cottage with beautiful views and ambiance! The outdoor spa and large wrap around deck w/ breakfast nook makes for a great getaway!

Just a 20 minute drive from wine tasting in Murphys, a 10 minute drive to Big Trees State park and 30 minutes to Bear Valley.

Fly In Lake is a short 10 minute walk from the cabin.

There's no place in Arnold that can match the ambiance and view of the Lakeside Cottage. All the homes in the area are second homes, so most of the time you will be the only guest in the area. 20 minutes from wine tasting in Murphys and great hiking and exploring throughout the area.

The outdoor spa is a great day to relax after a day of golf, hiking, wine tasting or whatever else you enjoy. Wireless internet access, Smart TV with Roku and Netflix are available. The cabin is walking distance to Fly In Lake, which is just across the street. (Fly in Lake is currently closed in lieu of Covid 19). One of a kind view from the deck overlooking the lake.

I'm always available to answer any questions about the cabin. I provide my cell phone # and email address to all guests. All guests are provided with a detailed Welcome Packet prior to their stay, which provides plenty of details about the cabin and local amenities.

The cabin resides in the Lakeside Terrace neighborhood. Very few of the cabins are occupied year round. Thus, its typically very quiet and peaceful throughout your stay.

Deer frequent the area, and you will often see them roaming around the lake and local area. the sounds of the frogs and ducks during the evening really add to the ambiance of your stay.

Guest fees include full access to the Lakeside Cottage, as well as access to Fly In Lake, which is directly across the street from the Cottage. (the lake is currently closed to guests, in lieu of Covid-19)

Please note that guests do not have access to Snowflake Lodge nor the Snowflake Lodge pool facilities

We want you to know that we’re doing our part to help our Airbnb guests stay safe by cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces (light switches, doorknobs, cabinet handles, remotes, etc.) before you check in. My cleaning company has been Covid 19 cleaning certified. We offer contactless check in and check out.

We are committed to Airbnb’s enhanced cleaning protocol which was developed in partnership with experts in health and hospitality.

Parking

The cabin has a very steep driveway. We recommend arriving via truck or SUV, if possible, as sedans or coupes will have a very difficult time getting up the driveway. Alternatively, there is parking just down the street from the cabin.

When navigating the driveway, approach the driveway slowly, from the far left, then proceed slowly up the driveway.

If you have difficulty getting up the driveway, there’s a small turnout just down the street on the right side, or you can use the small flat dirt driveway next door to the cabin, to the right. We do not recommend trying to navigate the driveway if you do not have a SUV or 4wd, use the turnout just across the street instead.

Note to our winter guests:

If there is snow prior to your visit, we will schedule to have the snow removal crew plow the driveway prior to your visit. 4 wheel drive or vehicles equipped with snow tires are highly recommended during the winter months. While every attempt will be made to ensure that the driveway is plowed prior to your stay, there is no guarantee that the driveway can be plowed, as weather conditions can impact the snow removal driver’s ability to plow all driveways.

If there is snowfall prior to or during your stay, please park near the bottom of the driveway, as the driveway is steep and can be quite slippery when icy. There should be ground salt in the pantry, or just outside the front door, that you can throw over the driveway, stairs and deck to help melt the snow. If there is no ground salt available, you should be able to pick some up at Ace Hardware or Big Trees market, both located on Hwy 4 in Arnold. There are snow shovels available on the deck or in the woodshed facing the cabin.

Keep in mind that the cabin in located at 4,000 feet altitude, and heavy snow can accumulate during winter storms. While we make every attempt to ensure that the driveway is plowed prior to your arrival, at times the elements make it impossible for the snow removal teams to get to the driveway prior to your arrival. In this case, you will be responsible for shoveling a spot for your vehicle and making a path up to the cabin. In this situation, the cabin owners will continue make every attempt to ensure snow removal is completed.

Outdoor furniture

There is a set of lounge chairs, a small outdoor couch and an outdoor coffee table on the outdoor deck for your enjoyment. Please replace the furniture covers before you check out, so that they furniture remains clean and free of debris.

There is a Brazilian Teak Outdoor dining table available to our guests in the Spring, Summer and Fall. Please take care not to place any hot pans or plates on the table. Please replace the table cover upon your departure.

The outdoor spa is fully functional and overlooks fly in lake.

Firewood is generally available at the cabin, but owner cannot guarantee that there will always be firewood available. Check with owner prior to your trip to confirm availability of firewood.

Please note there is a Ring doorbell video device that is attached to the right of the front door, pointed towards the entry way to the cabin.

There is a strict 4 person maximum at the cabin. Any evidence of the maximum number of guests being exceeded will result in withholding of the security deposit and additional penalty fees.
