BUKIT RAYA - GUESTHOUSE is a newly renovated accommodation facility. Businessmen, tourists, volunteers to environmental and social projects, families or single persons will find a quiet, safe and relaxing island in the middle of the daily stress and business activities.
Pay us a visit, it will be worth your while!
It offers you a beautiful green environment, just 5 minutes from the centre of the city.

From here you can make several trips, e.g. watch orang utans, go upriver, go uphill, visit a typical longhouse in which 20 families live, take a MAF plane into the bush or just relax on our complex in our natural swimming pool or in the hammock of the tree hut. Or maybe in the evening watch a movie in our outside 'theater'?

Our staff speaks several foreign languages but also can help you in or with Indonesian. There are laptops and free WiFi is available and you can rent an air-conditioned meeting room. We cook al kinds of Indonesian and foreign dishes, like Swiss roesti or a great spaghetti. We even bake our own, delicious bread. We want you to have a wonderful and relaxing time in our guesthouse!

Rooms
Comfort room
There are two comfort rooms available. These are 13sqm rooms with an additional sleeping loft for kids. A 7sqm open-air bathroom with shower, western toilet and sink is located directly behind each room.

Furnished with single or double bed, shelves and writing desk, a comfort room offers basic facilities for short term guests.

Each bed is protected by a mosquito net. A fan is installed for the guest’s comfort.

Standard room
There are three standard rooms. One standard room is equipped with a private bathroom, fully screened sleeping loft and simple furniture.

Right by the natural pool, there are two standard rooms available with one shared bathroom especially suitable for families or groups. Both rooms have sleeping lofts. The open-air bathroom can be accessed from both rooms. A fan is installed for the guest’s comfort.

Since many years we are living and working in Central Kalimantan. We would like to invite our guests to experience a little bit of Kalimantan. In our Guesthouse, you can meet traditional Dayak constructions and building materials combined with modern timber architecture with a fine taste of well-organized service. If you come to Kalimantan, you may know that this is not the most developed part of Indonesia. We try to offer you an interesting mix of living in a simple, culturally adequate environment combined with some basic luxury and feeling-good facilities. Tropical lifestyle asks you to interact with nature, local customs and habits. Yes, we try to keep bad habits and unexpected encounters with animals away from you, but yet you risk meeting things you probably wouldn’t meet in the 5-star hotel in air-conditioned rooms with marble and glass architecture… With other words: we do not try to turn Kalimantan into Europe!
