Dar Albatros is situated in the countryside of Sidi Kaouki, 20 mins. walking distance from the ocean. A starting point for an active, creative, sportive and at the same time restful holiday. Well suited for family, yoga and surf groups.We have several extra rooms for rent, depending on the group size.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW

1) House rules
Please check our house rules first. If you think you can't comply with these rules, please do not come to Dar Albatros!

2) Guarantee deposit
Upon arrival at Dar Albatros a guarantee deposit of 500 euros must be paid at the reception. This deposit will be paid back if the property is left tidy and undamaged at the check out date.

2) Staff
The staff (3 persons) is 24/7 present. All indications of the staff have to be followed concerning house rules, safety and government regulations.

3) Price
The price is based on 7 rooms/16 guests. There will be additional costs for extra guests.

4) Animals
There are animals (cats, dogs and chickens) on the property. Guests are not allowed to bring their own pets, unless this is agreed upon beforehand. Pets are never allowed in the bedroom.

4) Meals
Breakfast is not included (additional costs: € 7,00 per person). Our tasty Moroccan breakfast consists of: oven-fresh bread/toast, msemmen (Moroccan pancakes), different kinds of marmelade, olive oil, boiled egg or omelet, melted cheese, yoghurt, freshly pressed orange juice, coffee/tea.
We can also provide half or full board for a good price. Ask for our possibilities.

We have a small 'pop-up restaurant/bar' where we sell traditional Moroccan meals (home made quality) and cold drinks.
Our specialties: tajines made on wood fire, couscous, harira, bastilla etc.

During your stay with us you will discover the peacefulness and freshness of the countryside, surrounded by the foothills of the Anti Atlas. You will smell the fresh breeze and hear the ocean waves.

Just a 5 minutes drive or a 20 minutes walk through the countryside will bring you to Sidi Kaouki, a little village, known for it’s dreamy surf, windsurf and kitesurf possibilities. In the 5 km bay you will find enough spots to ride on the clean waves (between 1-3 meters high).

The Cave/La Grotte boasts the biggest waves in the area and is a couple of kilometers away from Sidi Kaouki on the road to Essaouira. When everything else is closed and windy the waves will still be working well here. It is best accessed by 4wd, but you can also drive to the little village near the Cap Sim Lighthouse and walk.

Besides windsurfing, surfing and kitesurfing, there are still many activities to experience: horse riding on the beach, camel tours, hiking in the foothills of the anti Atkas, trips to exclusive and lonely beaches in the area, trips to local souks, simply relax on the beaches or in the garden and lots of other fun activities like artistic workshops, photography course, cooking classes, visit a local family, mindfulness, yoga classes, going to the hammam, swimming in the pool, pool volley, ‘jeu de boules’, beach tennis, beach volley, beach football…

There are some small shops in the village which supply basic needs. In Essaouira (30 kilometers from Sidi Kaouki) you will find all you need. There are to big supermarkets and lots of smaller superettes and local shops.

You can reach Sidi Kaouki by bus from Essaouira (at Bab Doukala) or by taxi.
We advise you to rent a car whilst staying in Dar Albatros. We can help you rent one, but there are many possibilities for renting all sorts of cars at the airport of Marrakech.

This beautiful Moroccan country house left me breathless as soon as I was in front of it for its massiveness, the beauty of its big stone walls and for its sober architecture. That’s why I am so happy to get the opportunity to live and work here most of the year.

Looking for a new quality of life I opted for Morocco after a very active and diversified professional life in the Netherlands. I seized the opportunity with both hands. So now I am here, working together with the wonderful staff of Dar Albatros.

I am your first point of contact and I can help you planning your stay in Sidi Kaouki. The staff at Dar Albatros will go beyond simply providing a room; offering insight about the area, chatting to our guests and thus form a more personal connection. And this makes us different.
