Locally owned, Kamps is one of our go-to's for lunch! We love taking clients there or just enjoying it for ourselves. It's a fun, fresh take on fast casual food. Oh, and if you get there before 11:15 am - you MUST order the HoBo pie - it's like a cheesy version of a chicken pot pie and is delish! Plus, a cake ball or 12!! And for business travelers - access to free wifi isn't such a bad deal either!

So much so that it's been written about in the New York Times & The Smithsonian Magazine. Our favorite pho here in OKC is Pho Cuong. Why? When coming to OKC, one shouldn't leave without visiting the Federal Building. The building itself was the target of the April 1995 bombing and holds what is now one of the nation's most gut-wrenching, yet beautifully put together museums. Dedicated to those who lost their lives, the museum speaks to each of their stories in such an eloquent way. Next to the building is the memorial created for the victims specifically, but also the survivor victims as well. The actual memorial is breathtaking during the day - but at night is such a stunning yet sobering site, that I always encourage my guests to see it during both times.

We have several different districts throughout OKC, all known for their own individual vibes. The Paseo is our Arts district and holds several galleries, uniquely painted houses and quaint eateries. The Paseo Grill is to die for and the "nicer" of places to dine there, but still such a relaxed environment. But if a slice of pizza is your thing - then Sauced On Paseo is for you! For $3.25 you can build your own slice and eat it there on their patio while listening to music that's often played outside. Or take it to go and just walk around and enjoy the scene.

But...my real love for our Museum of Art (besides the DELISH cafe!! Especially their brunch - make reservations!!) is the always permanent and yet completely gorgeous Chihuly exhibit. In 2012, the museum was able to purchase one of the largest collections of his work to date. Which includes the largest glass-blown tower Chihuly has ever created. The comprehensive collection contains major works of the artist's various series including Waterford Crystal Chandelier (one of only two made), Oklahoma Persian Ceiling, Float Boat, Ikebana Boat, Persians, Macchia, Baskets, Putti, Cylinders, Ikebana, Seaforms, and Drawings. In total, there are nearly 80 named works, including the Tower and three gifts Dale Chihuly later made to the Museum.
It probably helped that his wife has roots here in OKC. I know a lot of people who are sure grateful she did! The tower makes an AMAZING backdrop for a streetside/curbside photoshoot.
