Walking distance from our home, this is a truly local restaurant with (in our opinion) the best crab cakes in town. Owners, Ann and Craig really take pride in their restaurant. Craig cooks up amazing dishes, while Ann runs the front of the house and make amazing desserts. They are closed Mondays. Open for lunch and dinner Tuesday - Saturday and Breakfast/Brunch Saturday and Sunday.

They host trivia (www.pubstartrivia.com) on Wednesday nights, which is always a good time, but if you win, be aware that you can't spend your winnings that night. Noble Fare
321 Jefferson StSavannah has its fair share of upscale restaurants, this is one our favorites. This might be one of the most understated restaurants in Savannah. Their menu is exquisite and has specials that change seasonally. We never get tired of celebrating with their Duck entree and a lovely bottle of wine.
A food experience to remember! Mrs. Wilkes is the epitome of southern faire in a southern setting. Be prepared to wait outside, in a long line, but be assured the wait is worth it. You will be seated family style (usually tables of 8-14 people). The menu is set and will be ready nearly the moment you arrive. You can expect all the delicacies of the south (fried chicken, bbq pork, okra, potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, black eye peas, the list goes on and on).
Open Monday - Friday 11am-2pm
Closed weekends and some holidays

We recommended arriving by 10am, at the latest, to try to hit the first seating. We also highly recommend budgeting time for a nap after this amazing southern cuisine experience.
If you're interested in the history of the south, Mrs. Wilkes restaurant used to be a boarding house, and they still maintain the tradition of each guest taking their dishes to the kitchen for washing. There are cookbooks and other souvenirs available for purchase as you check out. This is a staple of Savannah and a genuinely southern experience.

Our area is highly residential, so we do ask that you be respectful of quiet hours (10pm - 8am on week nights, 11pm -8am on Friday and Saturday). We are walking distance (less than a mile) from a few great local restaurants and the renowned Bonaventure cemetery. Tybee Island beaches, restaurants, and shops are only about 20 minutes away by car. Historic/Victorian districts of downtown are about 10-20 minutes from our home.
