Tubby's Tank House (Thunderbolt Location) is approximately 4 minutes and .9 miles from Marina Cottage. I LOVE THIS PLACE. It has great food, great service, and great fun. The climate is so great here that we eat on Tubby's wonderful outdoor patio all year; in the winter, they have heaters at each table, so if you do get chilly the staff will turn on the heat for you. I love eating on the patio year round, but the inside seating is awesome as well.

Tubby's Seafood River Street
115 E River StCoaches is great. It is in Savannah (not Thunderbolt), but is only 5 minutes (1.2 miles) from Marina Cottage.
This place reminds me of the bar on Cheer's (the tv show, and yes, I am dating myself with that reference).
The staff actually does know folks (locals) names here. But they are welcoming and warm to tourists as well, so you'll probably feel like a local when you frequent the place.
Coaches features live great live music!!!! There is an inside area for bands and an outside area as well. I especially like the cover bands.
Inside the place there are arcade games / pin ball machines, darts, video games, etc. There're trivia nights and all sorts of events.
I could eat at Coaches every day. I NEVER TIRE OF THEIR YUMMY LUNCH SPECIALS. When coming home to Marina Cottage, it is super easy to stop at Coaches and dine-in or to take out (and have the food still be hot when you get back to the cottage).
It also is close enough and fun enough that I like to just hop in the car and go listen to a some sets of music, do the trivia contest (or other activity) and then go back to the cottage.
NOTE: I recommend the place for families, because I see a LOT of families (with kids) dining there, listening to music, and all. And the folks there are family friendly -- but I do want to mention that it is a bar and, as such, serves alcohol. That said, I log a lot of time at Coaches since it is one of my favorite places near Marina Cottage, and I have never had any negative experience that one associates with bars. I feel the focus at Coaches is on the food, music, activities, and socializing and the alcohol is available but not the reason that folks come.
