Hiking

The High Note Trail offers the most scenic view of Cheakamus Lake in Garibaldi Provincial Park. The trail starts from the top of Whistler Mountain and wraps around the backside, offering dozens of incredible, mountaintop views before descending through the alpine area back to the Whistler Gondola. This hike is intermediate level and takes approximately 4 hours (9.5km). This trail requires that you take the Whistler Gondola and Peak Chairlift to the trailhead, which begins at the top of Whistler Mountain.

A part of Whistler's historical and cultural identity, the Train Wreck site is a popular attraction and is located near the Cheakamus River just south of Whistler. The short hiking trail follows the Sea To Sky Trail and crosses a suspension bridge, offering scenic views of the Cheakakmus River rushing below before arriving at the colourfully painted box cars, which have sat in the forest since 1956.

Garibaldi provincial park is located between Squamish and Whistler (approximately 35 minute drive from Whistler Village). Highly recommend hiking to Garibaldi Lake to see the spectacular turquoise blue glacier water that reflects the ice capped peaks and glaciers. Takes about 5-7 hours round trip (18.3km total). If you’re an avid hiker and looking for a challenge you can even go up to Panorama Ridge or Black Tusk. While on route to either of these two hikes you will walk through some beautiful meadows. To get up either Black Tusk and/or Panorama Ridge you have to climb up rocks which can pose quite a challenge (expert level) but the view is breathtaking and well worth it. I have never done Black Tusk but I can tell you that Panorama Ridge gives you a 360 degree view that includes : a birds eye view of the entire Garibaldi Lake, views of Black Tusk, and more! Many people camp over night in order to do these additional trails. If you choose one then one night is recommended. However, if you wish to do both Black Dusk and Panorama Ridge then I would recommend 2 nights. You must book online in advance to get a spot at one of the campsites in Garibaldi Provincial Park. I recommend Garibaldi Lake’s campsite as 1st choice or Taylor Meadows as the second. OR if you choose to go up to Panorama Ridge and back in one day expect an 8-12 hour hike for a total round trip distance of 30km. I have done this and it was very tough, my legs were quite sore the last 6 km on the way down, but it is doable! If you have more time and wish to do more overnight camping, there are more trails that you can explore in this park. But the ones I have mentioned are the most spectacular and memorable.

Relaxation

Great place to go to feel pampered and relax in silence through hydrotherapy. Enjoy the steam rooms, saunas, relaxation areas, and hot & cold baths. For an additional cost you can choose from a variety of massages. Massages are on the costly side, but if it’s in your budget, they are very good due to their well trained massage therapists.
