Port Edwards is the best place for seafood in our area hands down. They are opening for indoor seating June 25th today! This place is where the political parties hang out so it must be good. Its Old town atmosphere that is upper class style. You can also sit riverside and enjoy the view.

Huntley Illinois has a history of being a farm community. In the last 30 years however it has changed dramatically. Located just 5 miles north of the Interstate 90 and Illinois Route 47 interchange, our community has grown from a population of 2000 to a current population of about 25,000. Our school district is one of the best in the state. We have a Del Webb Community called Sun City for those over 55 years of age with more than 5000 homes. We have 2 McDonalds Restaurants, 2 Jimmy Johns sandwich shops, 2 Starbucks (maybe 3), 2 Dunkin Donuts stores, a Walmart, a Jewel grocery store, and many more new stores that weren't here when I grew up in Huntley. One business that has been a staple for at least 50 years is the Huntley Dairy Mart. They have excellent ice cream and hot food.
But a town is more than stores and schools, we still have corn and bean fields, hay fields, and beef and dairy cattle all within 5 miles of our place.
Just 5 miles away is the glider airport where you can take a ride in a hot air ballon or a glider plane.
