This downtown is as charming as they come. The large plaza is surrounded on all sides by quaint local shops, eateries and tasting rooms. It's a wonderful way to start the day. For the culinarians, be sure to stop at the original Williams Sonoma. Be sure to check out the great vintage photos upstairs.

Trione-Annadel State Park sits in the historic Valley of the Moon, an area popularized by author Jack London. This peaceful, unspoiled park is just a 20 minute walk from the HH Guest House. The park has more than 5,500 acres of rolling hills, seasonal streams, meadows, and woodlands free from modern intrusions.
Hikers, equestrians, mountain bicyclists, runners, and nature-lovers can choose among 40-plus miles of trails. Elevation gains
and degree of difficulty vary with each trail.

Hikers, equestrians, mountain bicyclists, runners, and nature-lovers can choose among 40-plus miles of trails. Elevation gains
and degree of difficulty vary with each trail.
Spring Lake Regional Park in Santa Rosa is one of Sonoma County's most popular parks, featuring trails, boating, a campground, picnic areas, natural history center, and a summer swimming lagoon. It's just a 20-minute walk from the HH Guest House.
Spring Lake is a 72-acre reservoir open for boating (electric engines only) and paddling. A year-round boat ramp is located at the end of the park's Newanga Avenue entrance. Kayak and paddleboard rentals are available 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through the summer. The rental office is next to the swimming lagoon via the park's Violetti Road entrance. Rentals start at $12 and hour. Last rental is at 5 p.m.
With nearly 10 miles of trails, Spring Lake is a favorite destination for hiking, running, biking and horseback riding. Trails include an easy paved route around the lake and connections to Trione-Annadel State Park and the city of Santa Rosa's Howarth Park.

Layers is Style in Northern California
The weather here can be amazingly versatile. Hot days give way to surprisingly cool evenings. We highly recommend layers and carrying a light jacket or fleece.
Even the finest restaurants here have a California Casual dress code. We provide an iron and small ironing board, but pack to be comfortable.
There are so many wonderful hikes and you may get a tour of the vineyards at the wineries. Pack some good hiking shoes that you are not afraid to get dirty if you have the opportunity.
You may also want to bring your slippers to be comfortable as you enjoy coffee al fresco on the patio.
