Apply, Stormy, Big Red and our other friendly, tame horses are familiar with the trails, so all you have to do it sit back and enjoy the only unguided horseback tour in the smokiest. The vehicles are designed to carry two visitors (375 pounds in dry conditions and 330 pounds in wet conditions) in comfort but can be handled easily by one alone ( at least 56" tall to ride alone). We do have removable rain shields to keep you dry during wet conditions.
The riders are in control of the velocity (up to about 27 mph) and this gives them a unique hands-on experience!
Rain, snow or sunshine no problem - the excellent braking effect is unchanged so you can ride year-round!

The Walker Sisters Place was a homestead in the Great Smoky Mountains of Sevier County, in the U.S. state of Tennessee. The surviving structures— which include the cabin, springhouse, and corn crib— were once part of a farm that belonged to the Walker Sisters— five spinster sisters who became local legends due to their adherence to traditional ways of living. The sisters inherited the farm from their father, and after the Great Smoky Mountains National Park was formed in the 1930s, they obtained a lifetime lease. The National Park Service gained control of the property in 1964 when the last Walker sister died. The surviving structures were placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

We have it all! From the longest float on the upper river to a swimming hole with picnics tables, yard games and fire pits! We have it all for your outdoor tubing experience!

Cades Cove is a broad, verdant valley surrounded by mountains and is one of the most popular destinations in the Great Smokies. It offers some of the best opportunities for wildlife viewing in the park. Large numbers of white-tailed deer are frequently seen, and sightings of black bear, coyote, ground hog, turkey, raccoon, skunk, and other animals are also possible.
Touring the Cove
Vehicle-free access along the Cades Cove Loop Road takes place each Wednesday, from May 5 through September 1, 2021. On these days, the 11-mile loop can be enjoyed on foot or bicycle.
An 11-mile, one-way loop road circles the cove, offering motorists the opportunity to sightsee at a leisurely pace. Allow at least two to four hours to tour Cades Cove, longer if you walk some of the area's trails. Traffic is heavy during the tourist season in summer and fall and on weekends year-round. While driving the loop road, please be courteous to other visitors and use pullouts when stopping to enjoy the scenery or view wildlife
An inexpensive self-guiding tour booklet available at the entrance to the road provides a map and information about the cove.
