It's closed during the winter though... :( The cool thing is that it's bike-friendly as a lot of people bike around Washington landing and through to the riverfront. Walk or bike to the obervation area near the bridge and see a different view of Pittsburgh from the landing!

Nicky's Thai on Mount Nebo Road is away from the city (between North Hills and Wexford), but in the summer they have a great little patio for outdoor dining. In the winter, their dining room is great. Nicky's also has several locations in and around the city - and all are great food!
