In this beginner Silversmithing class, you will pick out your own stone and create the setting and shank. We'll get familiar with the torch, jeweler's saw, flex shaft drill, anvil & bench pin. We'll solder the bezel, cut out the setting and file it flat. Then we create your ring shank according to your own size and add them together. We'll finish your ring by setting the stone and polishing the piece. All finished work is sterling silver and you get to go home with a brand new ring. Patience is required. No experience necessary. *Other things to note* Please dress for the occasion! We'll be sawing metal and using messy materials. Don't wear anything dangly and please have closed toe shoes on. This activity is hands on and messy! Also to note: long fingernails could make this a little harder, but doable! *there are good dogs on site.* **PLEASE NOTE: I don't have the space for more than two people at a time for this experience, this is my home studio and it's pretty small. We will drive from downtown Nashville to one of Middle Tennessee's beautiful state parks to hike gorgeous waterfalls. Our experience includes transportation for up to four from Nashville to our selected state park within 1.25 hours of Nashville. Our experience includes transportation from Nashville (downtown pickup available), entrance to the state park, and a group hike to the waterfall that I will lead. I will provide snacks and water. We will stop at a local restaurant for an on-your-own lunch break. We will hike one of the following: Cummins Falls, Burgess Falls, the falls of Rock Island, or the falls of Old Stone Fort. Our overall experience will last 6-8 hours, including travel time.

Get away from the hustle & 24/7 stress of tech of the city and enjoy the peace & serenity of the country. Take a true tech break and refocus your mind! We match up the personality of each horse to the rider. Then ride them in the corral for a minilesson to ensure that each rider knows the basic commands to control their horse. If you have physical limitations, have no fears, we have a solid mounting platform to make mounting/dismounting easy on both horse and rider. After the minilesson, we'll head onto the federal horse trail that runs in front of our farm. The trail goes right alongside the lake, through cool and shady old growth forests and next to game plots seeded for the birds of the area. We'll go through creeks, see naturally 'twisted growth' trees, and ride through clouds of butterflies. Oftentimes, we'll see River Otters, Egrets, Koots, Ducks, Geese, Bald Eagles, Osprey, White Tailed Deer and the occasional Black Bear. There are several good picture taking spots along the various trails. We'll stop and line up for couple/group pictures. On the trail back, we may do some short fast sections. You'll learn about the history of Nashville, each donut location, how they fit into the larger food scene, as well as try some amazing donuts. We start from Parlor Doughnuts where we try some of the best donuts you've had in your life. Next we'll stop by D'Andrews Bakery to try their world famous signature donut. Followed up with Rise Donuts & Biscuits near Broadway and finally, we end at Assembly Food Hall and Donut Distillery where they have both delicious donuts and other amazing food options.
