About Time Espresso Bar The Factory Tap Bar - Ronnie and his team will see you right Fell Bar The New Union Pub - say Hi to Phil the Landlord from Julia - he's a bit eccentric in a very youthful way and has won awards for his brewing Brew Brothers coffee bar Farmhouse Kitchen - day time cafe The Moon - a nice place for an evening meal Garden Cafe - homemade plant-based food; Nicky and Brian cook great food... Curry is very British and the best of the bunch is Jheels Best for Fish and Chips is Fish Express on the High Street Booths - a very British supermarket… there is a car park there…

Kendal is a lovely market town, that welcomes visitors, holds many festivals and has a compact, well-stocked town centre that's easy to navigate. It has a generous number of independent cafes, restaurants, pubs and bars - as well as the Brewery Arts Centre with bar, restaurant, cinema screens, theatre and performance room for bands and comedy events.

Kendal is famous for its Kendal Mint Cake and being the gateway to the lakes. It is a very picturesque town with quaint streets, a canal, a dry ski slope, museums and The Brewery Arts Centre. There is a wide range of shops and cafes you can visit. Throughout the year there are a number of different events including the Kendal Mountain Festival, The Torchlight Festival and Comic Arts Festival are to name just a few. Windermere is only a short drive away enabling you to combine yourvisit with a trip to the lakes.
