While not as elaborate as some, this is an antebellum mansion that was home to Major Robert Gamble and the only surviving plantation house in South Florida. **Check times for guided tours, only way to see inside of Mansion

History of Manatee County early settlers during the civil war. Nice place to take a picnic also. Check the internest to see the Parks event calendar. They often have re-enactments, car shows, craft shows, etc. There's also Hickory Hollow Diner and Popis place out in that area. Very good produce stand across the street from here as well.

It is the only surviving plantation house in South Florida No entrance fee is required to enter this park.
