The Maiden Tower is a Baku landmark, a much loved symbol of the city and of Azerbaijan. It looms dark and enigmatic, looking out to sea from the southern edge of Baku´s old, walled city, the Icheri Sheher. Maiden's Tower is the most magnificent and mysterious architectural monument of Baku, as well as Absheron. The castle is a defensive historical monument located in the south-eastern part of the ancient castle walls, near the seaside park (boulevard). There are many undiscovered historical and architectural problems of this unique monument in the form of a high tower. It is 28 m high and 16.5 m in diameter on the first floor. The thickness of the wall on the first floor reaches 5 m. The inner part of the tower is divided into 8 floors. Each floor is built of sawn stone and covered with a dome-shaped ceiling. The castle has been a museum since 1964 and was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2000.

Maiden Tower is one of the most popular historic sights of Baku city, had been built in the XII century by Masud ibn Davud and the height is 28 meters. Also, our hotel has named in honor of the Maiden Tower, which is translated in Azerbaijani as "Qız Qalası".
