The Big Rocking Horse is a tourist attraction located in the town of Gumeracha, South Australia. It is part of a larger complex that includes a wooden toy factory, wildlife park and café.

If you're new to Australia or just want a day out with the kids, the Big Rocking Horse is my hot tip for getting up close to local animals including Kangaroos, wallabies and emus. The big rocking horse boasts, well, the biggest rocking horse in the world, but it also has a small wildlife park. Entry is only $2 per person (as at March 2022), and you can purchase a bag of food to feed the animals. Pack a picnic to eat on the grounds or enjoy lunch at a cafe in Gumeracha. If you'd like to get up close an personal with a cuddly Koala, then look into Cleland Wildlife Park - however, it's a lot more expensive at $30 per adult. Also note that the Koala experience may not be operational during COVID.
