For those who love discovering local history, definitely find this place. Excellent displays from the earliest known history of prehistoric Florida to recent Miami events such as the Cuban influx. Offers wonderful historic tours as well.

Want to learn how Miami got started? This museum is awesome and affordable. Once you are downtown, you can also take the Metro-Mover to Bayside Market Place and other downtown area attractions such as the Perez Art Museum or Mary Brickell Villiage
