Really good, local ice cream and sweets shop. Everyone talks about Graeter’s, but this place offers a smaller-scale, unique, truly local vibe. The ice cream’s pretty darn good too.

Born and raised in Oakley, Aglamesis Bro's ice cream and candy shop, opened in 1913, is still a local favorite. My grandma used to take Colleen and her siblings to Aglamesis for ice cream sodas as special treats. Besides their ice cream - cones, specialty sundaes, sodas... their homemade candy is the best in town, in Colleen's humble opinion. Everything from opera creams, chocolate covered pretzels, caramels, almond bark, to name a few to their specialty items during the holidays - Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Easter, Halloween, and Christmas, their chocolates are worth every single calorie you consume! You don't want to miss Aglamesis during your visit. It's located in Oakley and there's plenty of eateries, bars, and places to visit in the area. They still have the old fashioned ice cream counter. You'll go back in time or you can tell your kids all about it!

This vintage ice cream parlor will rejuvenate your memories from your childhood. Family owned since 1908 and still today! This is a must visit after diner or with kids after a visit to King Arthur's Court Toy Store next door!
