Multnomah Falls and other waterfalls and vistas of the Columbia Gorge are astonishing icons of geology, the sort that have inspired mythology and lore of warriors, gods and passions. We will drive out in our vans to meet the tallest waterfall in the state, and then drive to a few of the shorter but even more stunning ones, too; falls which could only be the daughters and sons of legend. In this half-day experience, we will explore wonders with some short hikes (totaling less than 2.5 miles/4 km) and visits to overlooks and vistas that will have you gasping in awe. While Multnomah Falls and its iconic Benson Bridge are together the most-visited tourist attraction in the Portland area, they are only a part of our experience. We will meet at our shop in inner SE Portland, where we'll ride in our comfortable Sprinter and Transit vans to the nearby gorge. Depending on weather conditions, we will visit a few small hidden waterfalls and spectacular plunge-style falls whose columnar basalt has us learning words for "amazing" in other languages. We'll also tell you stories, geology, botany and oft-repeated tales of pioneers and road-builders, but also the old stories we've learned, of gods and wild spirits and about the oldest North American civilization, forever altered by “manifest destiny." A unique outdoor yoga experience on the beautiful Princeville Makai Golf course that begins with a short walk to our practice space boasting some of the most exquisite views on the North Shore of Kauai. On a bluff nestled above Queen's bath overlooking Hideaway's beach, with the majestic ridges of the Hanalei & Haena mountains revealing their details in the shifting morning light, we practice a mellow yoga flow catered specifically to the group. Morning birds and ocean waves are the soundtrack to our practice supporting a calm state of mind and a deeper sense of presence. OUR GOAL IS FOR YOU TO HAVE AN EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE SURFING - whether its your first time or you're trying to advance your skills. We'll get suited up in the wetsuits I provide, grab the surfboards (we don't use 'one size fits all' Wavestorm boards - we offer custom boards in a variety of sizes to fit your needs) and head down to the sand. For the first 20-30 minutes we’ll be training on the beach, then it’s 60-80 minutes with an instructor in the ocean. The remaining time is yours to practice your skills and have fun in the water. The classes are taught by myself or one of our great instructors. We usually have the 2nd instructor helping in the water when the group exceeds 6-7 people. We will take photos of you in and out of the water in the last 10-15 minutes of the experience. These are not professional pics but a great memory for you, your friends and family. Come and spend a day at a farm and make art! We are a woman owned organic farm located near the Sandy River. We have converted a century old dairy barn into a ceramic studio. Let’s spend the day playing with clay and learning together. Here we have options based around your skill level and interests. I can lead you on the potters wheel or in hand building techniques. For an additional cost of $25 per person I will fire your projects in my kiln and you can choose a glaze color for your finished pieces. You can choose to pick up a couple weeks after your booking or pay to have your pieces shipped. We will teach you how to milk a cow. *At the beginning we allow you time to spend with the animals. Petting, brushing, or just hanging out with them. *Next we take you through what we feed our animals and how we care for them. We can talk about what goes into the cleanliness of the process and getting everything ready. *We will then go through the experience of milking the cow (whether by hand or with the machine, you decide). Allowing you to do as much of the work as you feel comfortable with. *Afterwards we will strain the milk and get it cooled and clean up. *Before you leave we will give you the opportunity to taste any of the products from our farm with the option to purchase milk at a 50% discount. *Congrats! You will have milked a cow!

PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION before booking to make sure this is the experience for you and you are prepared. When you get here we will immediately go into the goat, mini horse, mini donkey, mini cow and pig pasture and love on them. We can also feed the Alpacas and Chickens. Sometimes they do get full in the afternoon so feeding may not happen. While visiting I will be actively working in the fields, but am always ready to answer question you may have. Because I am an animal sanctuary I take in all animals. Most are super loving, but some require special instruction to interact with. Parents please help kids follow the rules so everyone remains safe. Please wear clothes and shoes you don’t mind a dirty on, especially in the rainy season. Tall waterproof Boot are VERY recommended. Even if it isn’t raining there is thick mud to walk through in the wet month. This is a true animal farm. Poop, mud, and dirt are apart of it. Don’t stick your fingers in the cage, they will bite.* In general-We will learn about all the farm animals here, ducks, geese, chickens, bunnies and goats. But this will depend on the age of the guests. Fresh vegetables and whole wheat bread, eggs shells and egg cartons are much appreciated! This is a unique experience with lots of holding and petting. Walk carefully with proper shoes and clothing, be prepared to get dirty! So many fun stories and love therapy, it’s fun just looking at these cute fur balls hopping around! * * * Come and hold the babies or simply spend time with them you will feel so loved. This is a great experience for adults and kids alike! **We got a huge green house that keeps you out of rain and cold. Rabbits do kick and scratch because they are prey animals, and get scared easily, please do not chase them. Let them come to you! Baby bunnies are fragile, parents with young children are responsible for watching them when handling.

Ever been interested in trying your hand at blowing glass? Join me in my flameworking studio and learn how to make your first piece of glass art at Chadly Glass Studio! I’m a professional borosilicate glass blower with over 10 years of experience and offer beginner's classes in inner SE Portland. All students will be taught basic glass blowing safety, skills, and will have the opportunity to create 2-3 pieces of glass art in a 2 hour beginner’s lesson. Choose from a: Standard Group Class (up to 5 participants per class): In this introductory class we make 2-3 pieces of glass art: a marble, wine bottle stopper or pendant, and a small blown ornament. This class may be shared with other individuals. Private Class (for private groups of up to 4 participants per class): This class is for those wanting a private, closed session for yourself and/or friends and family. Students get to keep any glass they create, and gain knowledge and hands-on experience in a very unique field. *Glass made during lesson will require kilning for durability, which takes a minimum of 4 hours. Most students choose to pick up the glass they made the next day (or at their earliest convenience).

Aloha and Welcome as we gather around the information table at Sharkey's 100-year old farmhouse in the historic plantation village of Papaikou. Sample our freshly brewed 100% Hawaiian coffee or cacao tea, grown right here on the farm. From there we begin an easy walk through our orchards where you'll learn about Hawaiian coffee growth and production. Interwoven the coffee are rows of cacao trees. Depending on the time of year, you can usually see tiny flowers and large, multi-colored pods hanging from trunks and branches. Long, heavy vanilla vines grow up the cacao trees, nature's perfect trellis! We'll show you how each vanilla orchid is delicately hand-pollinated to produce long "hands" of vanilla beans. We'll then proceed to the "Slab" where the pods are 'cracked' before the fermentation process. Next we move into the greenhouse where flats of newly planted seedlings just beginning their journey grow alongside large screens filled with coffee and cacao beans slowly drying to perfection. Finally we'll move into our certified Chocolate Kitchen where the Magic happens! Who wants a taste? Free samples! Every parrot has a story. You’ll learn all about our rainbow-colored rescues in Kona’s only parrot sanctuary. We’ll start with our mission: to give every displaced parrot a nutritious diet, large space to fly, and a safe place to interact with other parrots (and people). Next, we'll take a walk around the sanctuary, where you can get to know the range of personalities of cockatoos, lovebirds, macaws, and more species. Throughout the tour, you will have many photo opportunities, especially with our well-trained parrots. Other things to note: Wear casual clothes, closed-toe shoes, sunscreen, insect repellent, a hat, and bring a camera. Parrots in Paradise Sanctuary is also home to two rescue dogs, two Holstein cows and two sulcata tortoise. While we like to keep our group sizes small to enhance a personal experience, we are open to hosting larger family/friend groups with more than six individuals.

We meet at the Kauai Inn and I explain the instruments (drums) we're going to play. We start with simple beats and practice as long as everybody gets it. No worries if you never have been drumming before in your life. I also explain what the drums stand for in the community and how they were used in ancient Hawaii. After one hour of drumming, we start practicing the firedancing. The boys with the samoan fireknife and the girls with the mauri poiballs. We practice without fire for a while and who ever wants to light it on fire, is very welcome to try it (no worries I'll help you). You can take nice pictures and videos while performing with fire. Other things to note And again, if you are beginners, never drum or played with fire in your entire life, don't worry, in my class are all levels of drummer and firedancer from 5 years to 70 years old!

During the Kauai Nectar adventure... We will spend about an hour exploring the hives, our tasks being dictated by whatever the hives need each day. Including: Collecting Pollen Shifting boxes Examining hives & their occupants You will have the opportunity to learn about the biology, life cycles, and societal structures of the beehives. We will finish the morning with local raw honey and pollen tasting. You'll leave with your very own jar of honey from one of Kauai Nectar’s apiaries. We do have an age limit for this tour, if your child does not meet the requirement, please request a private tour! We are happy to invite younger children to visit the bees, the limit is only to accommodate other guests during a group tour. Other things to note: You will sweat in the bee suit, wear light comfortable clothing, close-toed shoes, long socks. We will meet at the Apiary, located in Kapa'a directly across from Kealia Beach. We are excited to teach you you how to create your own unique lei po'o (flower crown). You will choose your own tropical flowers and create a unique and beautiful custom piece made with fresh flowers. All of our flowers are locally sourced from local gardens and we support local farmers. We also provide high quality local store bought flowers such as torch ginger, cymbidium orchids, anthuriums, etc. Our workshop is high end because we use high end flowers and natural materials sourced from Polynesia (Lauhala leaves from Tahiti). Your leis will last 3-4 days and will enrich your Hawaii experience tenfold. While making your lei, I will share the cultural meanings of our leis and why we wear them in Hawai'i. La Jolla Bay is a Marine Protected Area that is home to a thriving ecosystem that boasts a high concentration of sea life, has a natural boat launch, which allows safe ocean entry year-round, and is famous for its Sea Caves and Marine Reserve. No experience is required. Great for all skill levels. Your guide will kick things off with a paddle tutorial on the beach. If surf exists, we will help push your kayak through any breakers. As we paddle through La Jolla’s Marine Reserve keep an eye out for Seals, Sea Lions, Sea Turtles, Pelicans, Dolphin and Gray whales in the fall/winter. Note: We cannot guarantee sea life. If conditions are safe, we will help guide your kayak into Emerald Cave. If it's not safe to enter Emerald Cave, we will still paddle out & explore La Jolla's World-Famous Marine Reserve. Snorkeling in a whole new way that makes it easier and more fun. Come jet scooter snorkel through the crystal clear waters of Hawaii on this adventure snorkeling tour. Anyone can do this tour as it is for beginners also. I will take you to one of the best snorkeling sites on Oahu to see sea turtles, tons of fish, sea life and dolphins. We will be using our jet propelled underwater scooter devices to create a fun and unique snorkeling experience, unlike any other! This tour will begin with a complimentary pickup from Waikiki at 2412 Koa ave, and a scenic drive to our snorkeling site approx. 30 mins. Once we arrive, we will go through a safety briefing and jet snorkeling orientation to get you started on this fun filled tour. We accept all skill levels including first timers! Upon your arrival to Oahu, you'll begin to see how surfing is Hawaiian culture. As you get into Waikiki, everywhere you look you will see surfboards...... It is now time to embrace your surroundings and let us show you the Hawaiian way. We will begin by introducing the details of the surfboard. Then discuss the fundamentals including positioning on board, etiquette, paddling, how & when to stand up, & what to do once you are on the wave. We will discuss ocean safety, awareness and safety. Once the land training is done, we will walk right across the street and enter the water, don't worry about carrying any surfboards, we have a cart for that. Once we are in the water we will guide you to the best spot to position yourself to catch waves. We will be by your side and provide the extra push to get on the wave. It doesn't matter if you are a beginner or intermediate surfer, we can help all levels advance your skills on a surfboard and teach you about the area you are surfing in. After the lesson we will go back to the shop, have the barista whip us up a drink from our coffee bar, relax, and chat. This shoot is great for social media, family photos, travel collages, headshots, brands promotion, or just for travel memories. LOCATIONS: 1. Famous Palm Tree Street 2. Rodeo Drive Street 3. 208 Rodeo 4. Rodeo Drive Stairs 5. Beverly Canon Gardens (Optional) Urban Lights BOOKING OPTIONS 1. Book for either: - $115 private shoot for one person. 15 high-resolution pictures. No choice of location & stay only in Beverly Hills. - $220 private group shoot, 30 high-resolution pictures. OUR GOAL IS FOR YOU TO HAVE AN EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE SURFING - whether its your first time or you're trying to advance your skills. We'll get suited up in the wetsuits I provide, grab the surfboards (we don't use 'one size fits all' Wavestorm boards - we offer custom boards in a variety of sizes to fit your needs) and head down to the sand. For the first 20-30 minutes we’ll be training on the beach, then it’s 60-80 minutes with an instructor in the ocean. The remaining time is yours to practice your skills and have fun in the water. The classes are taught by myself or one of our great instructors. We usually have the 2nd instructor helping in the water when the group exceeds 6-7 people. We will take photos of you in and out of the water in the last 10-15 minutes of the experience. These are not professional pics but a great memory for you, your friends and family. If you would like pro photos please inquire, we do offer them at an additional fee. If you want to book for kids under 12 yo - please contact me directly for private lessons Your safety is our main priority that is why myself and all of our lead instructors are ISA (International Surfing Association), CPR & First Aid certified, we obtain Water Safety Specialists certificates (surfing instructor safety training) and I also completed 2 Level surf instructors program with ISA. Aloha! Welcome to "Under The Sea " A Hawaiian Reef Spearfishing experience. In this lesson we will conduct Shallow Water - Hawaiian Reef Spearfishing, Cultural education, and Exhilarating Techniques to catch dinner, and provide for your Ohana (Family). Meeting time will be approximately 10:00am at Anini Place. (Location Instructions will be sent to you after booking) Once united we will promptly begin with a 30 minute safety & educational briefing, then take a restroom break. After that we will walk to our entry point and partake in a Naupaka Cleansing Ceremony. (A Hawaiian tradition passed down through generations.) Next we will start our 90 minute dive, and experience Hawaii’s Largest Barrier Reef. If we're LUCKY we will come home with exciting stories, unforgettable memories, and some dinner for the family. Please Note - Our Dive location may vary based on external factors such as surf and weather conditions.
