The Shanty is a one room 200 sq.ft. cottage for a weekend get-away, a short to long-term work assignment or the perfect spot for creative work like composing or writing. It is three miles from access to the Appalachian Trail at Thunderhead Lodge and thru-hikers are welcome for a break from the trail. The Shanty is a quiet, sunny room just a few steps from a private bathroom in the main house. Breakfast is included. Weekly and monthly discounts are offered.
