Although Calgary is a very low risk City, with the current COVID concerns, we are taking extra precautions to deep clean and disinfect the condo before and after each visit.
It is only a 1 minute walk to the C-train and a major grocery store across the street, and a 3 minute walk to the Bow River if you don't stop at any of the trendy shops or buy a latte. Located in Kensington, it is surrounded by many eclectic shops, cafes, pubs, and restaurants.

Would you love sleeping on a luxuriously comfortable pillow top mattress with 1000 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets that are ironed?! The bedroom is plush and inviting with an exceptionally comfortable pillow-top queen mattress and quality bedding. Guests have referred to the bed as an "Airbnb dream!" Do you really want to sleep on another thin hard mattress with crumpled thread bare polyester sheets? Didn't think so but warning: this level of comfort is addicting!

The condo is conveniently located in the heart of the trendy Kensington neighbourhood and has a walking score of 98%. Walk through the neighborhood or along the river for some fresh clean air! Just out the door is an excellent in-house bakery, Safeway grocery with pharmacy and a Tim Hortons, aesthetics salon, and Freshi and Pho restaurants. There are numerous retail and eclectic shops, parks and pathways, a movie theatre, restaurants, and cafe's on the street. In addition to local pub food, you might want to try Red's Diner for breakfast (they serve delicious Fratello Coffee) and for your special night out I recommend you reserve a table at COTTO Italian Comfort Food, or Vero's Bistro. All three are just down 10th Street and offer excellent food, good prices and exceptional service.

The furnishings in the condo are custom and modern that you and your partner will love. The suite is equipped with small appliances such as coffee grinder, hair dryer, and ironing board and iron, a small blender, and there is an oversized umbrella. The deep tub/shower in the bathroom allows you to comfortably soak after a busy day of negotiations or exploring. There are two large housecoats to lounge around in afterwards.

The building is made of concrete construction and well insulated so despite being in a bustling neighbourhood, it is very quiet. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need for cooking including spices, and there is high speed wifi, AC and cable TV. There is a small desk and a also a large granite counter top for extra workspace.

The condo has floor to ceiling windows that provide a sense of space and openness and the large patio with bistro set is for you to enjoy the beautiful sunsets and late afternoon cocktails. We have listened to our guests' comments and installed light blocking curtains you can draw closed if you want to sleep in a little more in the morning.

To park your car, drive up to the exterior parking garage door and it will open automatically. You will need the key fob to get in and out of the second door and into the secure residential parking area and parking stall. The distance from the parking stall to the elevator and front door is only about 30 footsteps (and no stairs) so the condo is easy to access. It is also accessible if using a wheelchair.

Make sure you don't let any strangers into the building when you come and go. This is not the time to be friendly or helpful! We take security very seriously.

When you lock the front door the first time, check it actually locked as it "sounds" like it locked when you turned the key but you may find it actually didn't lock. There is a thick door seal so gently pull the door towards you when you turn the key.

Feel free to use everything in the house. My antique books are a bit fragile so please handle with care or not at all.

Although Calgary is a low-risk area for the Novel Coronavirus, we are taking extra precautions to thoroughly clean and disinfect the condo before and after each guest's visit. This includes disinfecting all hard surfaces such as the keys, door knobs, remotes, tables, light switches, the desk, toilet, sinks and the floor. Please help us by thoroughly washing your hands as soon as you enter the condo, also remove and place your shoes on the shoe mat provided, and leave the house keys in a designated key dish or hook.

Also, let me know if in the last two weeks, if you or anyone you live with has traveled to any areas that have been severely impacted by the coronavirus. Have you been diagnosed with, or suspect that you have, the coronavirus? Do you currently have any travel restrictions in your area due to the coronavirus? If we all work together to keep the condo germ free, we can make your stay and the next guest's stay enjoyable and safe. Now, regarding the condo:

For the TV, I recommend turning it on/off manually as per the instructions by the TV. After that, you can use the Shaw remote to change channels and volume. Believe me, this will be easier.

The kitchen sink is a "touch" system which means you can turn it on or off by touching the spout. Note that the lever needs to remain in the "on" position for it to work.

I don't allow pets but will consider dog breeds that are under 15 pounds if they are hypoallergenic and non-shedding. A photo of your dog and permission will be required and you will need to do a separate e-transfer of $150 to my account prior to confirming your booking or the pet will not be allowed to stay in the condo.

This space is not for events, loud parties, filming, and/or any activities that are against the law. There is no smoking of any products, no flying of drones from the balcony and no littering on the property or surrounding areas. This is my residence and business and I request it be treated with respect. As a minimum, you will be charged the $1000 deductible to cover any damages caused by a contravention of the house rules.

Kensington is renowned as Calgary's most walkable neighbourhood! With everyone staying away from group gatherings, what better time than now to walk out in the fresh air!! The pathway system along the river is terrific and there are various routes you can take for your run/walk. Walk across the bridge and head east to Prince's Island and Eau Claire for breakfast or a cocktail. People are super friendly and love others from all walks of life. Just smile at them and say "hello". Restaurants cater to every taste including Thai, Japanese, Italian, Ethiopian, Western, French and there is every serving from breakfast to late night fine dining.

Parking is a challenge in Kensington but not for you as you will have free underground parking. It's also free on the street after 6 pm and all day on Sundays. You can stroll down 10th Street to Kensington Road and the Bow River. If you love fishing, the Bow is a renowned trout fishery and in the summer, there are wake boarders playing with the rapids under the bridge.
