The trail is about 4 mile walk. It is a lovely walk but the path is uneven and muddy in places with quite a number of steps making it unsuitable for pushchairs.

One of the entrances to the reserve is close to us at Ribblehead Quarry.

There is a beautiful woodland walk from the National Park Centre that takes you down to the falls with viewpoints along the way. Another route from the opposite end of the carpark takes you to the upper falls.

The station has is a small museum with lots of information about the construction of the iconic Ribblehead Viaduct which you can see from the station.
There is also a cafe serving customers from April to October.
Ribblehead Station is also a great spot to view steam train tours passing up the Settle- Carlisle line. Please be aware that steam tours do not run daily and do not stop at Ribblehead. We can provide information about steam trains due to pass through the area, please ask when you arrive.
