Beach access within walking distance. Enter on the west side of the street. There is a gate behind the bus stop that opens to a trail that leads down to the beach! Enjoy a wide expanse of beach front with few people. Better for those with some hiking experience- trail is moderately maintained and it's a steep climb back up.

Bring layers
The Pacific Northwest is a maritime climate. Temperatures can fluctuate throughout the day. It can be cloudy and chilly in the morning with blue skies and sun in the afternoon. It's best to pack clothes that can be layered to adjust to changing temperatures as needed. And of course it's wise to bring a rain jacket.
