What They Do...
OUR OWN COWS - OUR OWN ICE CREAM
We make all of our Artisan Ice Cream here at our parlour to a traditional Italian Gelato recipe, giving you an authentic taste of Italy in beautiful Kirkby Lonsdale. Whilst we can't promise the Italian climate, we can promise you'll be spoilt for choice with over twenty delicious flavours to choose from, including dairy and gluten free options. With an ever changing offering there's always something new to try - tasters are encouraged!
WAFFLES
We serve our very own freshly made waffles to eat in or take away! Just 5 minutes walk from Apartment 1!
Spanning the River Lune to the south and east of Kirkby Lonsdale is Devil’s Bridge. This magnificent three-arched bridge, probably dates from the 12th or 13th century, and is now a scheduled ancient monument. A popular haunt for motorcycle enthusiasts who congregate at weekends in the adjoining parking area to discuss all things mechanical over a mug of hot tea and a bacon butty, Devil’s Bridge was once the only bridge over the Lune for miles and formed part of the busy west-bound route into the town.
Now closed to traffic it is a popular resting place, perfect for picnics and also start or end point for a delightful riverside walk to the north of Kirkby Lonsdale.
At the apex of the bridge, there’s a deep impression in the stone – often referred to as the devil’s handprint. The folk tale surrounding the handprint tells of an old woman who lived on the banks of the Lune with a few animals. One night her cow strayed across the river and would not be tempted back, no matter how much she coaxed and implored. The devil appeared to her, offering to build a bridge in exchange for the soul of the first body to cross it. The devil constructed the bridge with his own hands, leaving a print in the wet stone. The next day the woman met the devil at the bridge and agreed to fulfil her part of the bargain. She took a bun from her bag and threw it across the bridge, whereupon her small dog raced across to retrieve it. The devil, in a fit of rage at being outwitted, howled in anger and vanished in a cloud of brimstone.

Kirkby Lonsdale Golf Club is situated in the picturesque Lune Valley within the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
We pride ourselves on giving all our visitors a warm Cumbrian welcome.
Our course measures 6594 yards and is laid out in more than 160 acres of spectacular countryside.
OUR COURSE
Our 18 hole layout is set out in two anti-clockwise nine-hole loops that make full use of the natural terrain. The front nine crosses Barbon Beck and works its way down to the River Lune, before returning to the clubhouse. The back nine heads north up the valley, presenting you with spectacular views of the Howgill Fells, before heading to the high point of the course on the 15th green.
The final three holes then provide a strong finish as you turn back into the prevailing south westerly breeze, with our signature 17th hole
being a par 3 to a green perched just over Barbon Beck.

Ingleton Climbing Wall is primarily a training gym for competent rock climbers. Therefore you are required to register as such before being allowed access to the wall. The wall is not always staffed so please follow registration instructions below if you would like to use our wall unsupervised.

HOW TO REGISTER AS COMPETENT
Step One
Click REGISTER NOW below: Choose 'Sign Up' > 'Full Cost' > 'Guest (One-Time User)'
Enter your personal details and complete our T&C's and Digital Waiver form.
Once completed, you are registered with us and will not have to repeat step one in future.
*To start a membership and obtain a fob, please choose a membership type from the options or get in touch with us.

Step Two - Payment
Once registered, please click below to pay for your session before visiting the wall.
CLICK HERE TO PAY
Groups and Families can pay for all participants with one transaction but all group members aged 18+ MUST register. Novices can register as a 'Guest (Supervised)' in step 1 but only if supervised by a competent and registered adult throughout your visit.
*A fully registered competent climber can be responsible for up to 2 novices.
*U18's are not required to register if under the supervision of a competent adult.
Step Three - Gaining Entry
Once you've registered and paid for your session, please give us a call when you arrive at the climbing wall and we can open the door for you.

BMX Pump Tracks are non-racing tracks that are designed and built for small areas. Increasingly popular in recent years, BMX Pump Tracks are ideal for beginners or for those looking to improve their biking skills, riding BMX or a mountain bike.
They are typically shorter and narrower than standard BMX race tracks with a circuit of rollers, berms and jumps that usually loops back on itself so that riders can keep on going.
Perfect for practicing, they are safe to ride and fun for all ages and skill levels.
Not only do they build up BMX riding skills, but Pump Tracks are also an excellent way to promote health and fitness.
The Ingleton Pump Track is on Back Gate, close to the i-Centre and we ask that you use the public pay & display parking just a short distance up, by the community centre. The pump track is FREE and ALL are WELCOME. Please enjoy safely.

The gallery windows in our café look down into the milking parlour – where else can you watch cows being milked while enjoying a cream tea?
The menu in the café is inspired by our farm: vegetable soups, hunks of quiche and farmer’s salads on chunky crockery. Or you’re welcome to join us for a brew and afternoon treat.
Our thick milkshakes and warming hot chocolates are a sure-fire hit with the kids.
The cows are milked daily from 3.30pm to 5pm.

Our free farm trail is the ideal place to roam free in a natural and imaginative landscape.
Families of mischievous boggarts have set up homes near the pond recently. Look out for their magical houses and the faerie doors in and around the trees.
The native flowers on the faerie doors in the little wood near the pond remind you to explore the magic at your feet. Collect a sheet from the farm shop and find all 12.
