During the week in season, or any time off season, check out the wild horses of Assateague! Can get very crowded on weekends, but the beach is beautiful, plentiful hiking trails, and the horses are a unique treat. Very worth the cost of admission, or buy a season pass.

Midtown and North for Off Season
The Boardwalk and downtown areas have several restaurants and attractions close for the off season. But some have other year round locations up north! An easy trip via car or the Beach Bus, be sure to check out the less crowded and/or larger versions of several popular places! Crabcake Factory, Higgins, etc.

Event Weekends in OC
Ocean City, MD is host to several family friendly (and not so family friendly) events throughout the year. Highly suggest reviewing OC event sites and tourism websites to see what's happening before you arrive to town. Some events cause quite a traffic backup or make restaurants overcrowded, so its best to plan ahead.

Beach Bus - Avoid the Traffic
OC gets BUSY during the summer months, and travel up and down Coastal Highway can be slow and frustrating as a result. Leave your car at home and take advantage of the worry-free beach bus. Unlimited trips are just just $3.00 for a 24-hour ride pass, and you'll be easily able to access any attractions in OC from the DE border all the way to the inlet Boardwalk area. And because the buses have their own private lane of Coastal Highway, you get to your destination quicker, too!
