Nashville Guide

Welcome. Here's a guide broken down by neighborhood. The house is in East Nashville, so check that first for restaurants and cool spots nearby.
*12 SOUTH is nice shopping district to walk around during the day. 10 or so blocks of local shops and boutiques like Draper James, and a few good brunch spots too.

*MIDTOWN(music circle) is similar to broadway/downtown, but less crowded with bars like Winners and Loser playing music every night. Hattie B’s Hot Chicken is here but the 8 Sth location is less busy

*DOWNTOWN Broadway is the big honkytonk district. For less crowds head up 2nd ave to bars like Wild Horse Saloon. Past that is Printers alley with an old blues bar called Bourbon St, a jazzy speakeasy called Skull’s that has burlesque shows, Black Rabbit old school cocktails and rockabilly, and a few historic karaoke joints.

Sightseeing

Here's some other cool spots that don't fit a "neighborhood". There’s the Lane Motor Museum, the weirdest/coolest car collection you’ll ever see. The new National museum of African American music has some good exhibits. Jack White’s Third Man Records shop is a really cool spot. Santa’s Pub may be the weirdest dive bar you’ll ever see(cash only). Opryland hotel is worth walking around inside, especially if going to a show at the Grand Ole Opry, or Opry Mills mall. Belle Meade Plantation has tours, and wine tastings. The Ryman is one of the best music venues in the world, see a show, or tour for the history. The Parthenon in Centennial park is weirdly interesting and the park is beautiful and has lots of events. There’s some outdoorsy stuff like Shelby Bottoms park nearby, lots of hikes like Radnor lake, and some amazing waterfalls and caves just over an hour outside of town(Mammoth is the longest in the world) .
