Birthplace of Maya Angelou, today The Gate is a rapidly developing residential neighborhood conveniently situated between the St.Louis University Medical Campus on Grand Blvd., the beautiful historic Lafayette Square and the historic neighborhood of Compton Heights. New homes are being built at a fast pace, historic homes are being rehabbed, and all are in high demand because of the easy accessibility and fantastic location in the City.
