Sightseeing
Take the drive a few miles along the Yachats river, you can turn left to go to the covered bridge or the right will take you into the gravel logging roads into Cape Perpetua area.

If you go to the road that takes you to the top of Cape Perpetua, half way up is a road to the right that takes you on the old logging roads, there is an area you can stop and see this viewpoint of the Yachats river valley.

Just past the Heceta Head lighthouse is the Sea Lions cave, you will take an elevator 200 feet down to the cave which is exposed to the Pacific Ocean, be prepared for the smell of a barn, there are fossils and history as well as views of the cave itself. There is a viewpoint of the Heceta Head lighthouse as well.
