This corner coffee shop is perfectly placed cady corner to Bixby Park and The Bluff. It is spacious without feeling like a fast food dining lounge.
The pastries I've tried thus far include the cheesecake brownie (yum, rich, moist, slightly crumbly) and bran muffins (great for a sweet treat with less self-judgment).
Prices are good, wi-fi robust, and it's quiet inside despite being on a busy street.

Lola's Mexican Cuisine

It looks divey and isn't easy to spot but put superficial looks aside and focus on quality.

The only downside is the parking situation and they only open after 4 pm so no Italian lunch here :(

The lamp chop was not chewy and was very soft and the meat melts right in your mouth. I enjoyed their salad since it came with feta cheese which I really like with my salad. The hummus was great and went well with their complementary pita bread.

We ordered the Chile Verde plate, the chile Verde tamale with a shredded beef taco with refried beans, and one shredded beef enchilada with black beans; it was all very delicious. The serving size was worth the money but it was so good I wish I had more. We were told it would take 15 minutes but it was ready before then. I would definitely love to go again and order something else next time. It is a little bit tight inside but it goes to show how good their food is.

I always stick to my go-to, which is the regular chicken katsu plate. Crispy and perfectly-breaded, I appreciate how the chicken to bread ratio is pretty generous. The macaroni salad wasn't as good as I remembered it at the other locations but it suffices. Dip the katsu in the sauce that's provided and it makes for a delicious meal. You'll leave feeling satisfied every time.

Open from noon to 2 am each day, they serve stiff drinks at cheap prices, so what more could you ask for? Good music, with a couple pool tables and a jukebox for entertainment. Not generally my scene, but the place is chill nevertheless.
It gets crowded closer to the weekend, but nothing you can't manage. The locals are cool and for my first visit, I felt really comfortable. The only downside, of course, is the parking. Trying to find one nearby can be a chore.
Also, the place is CASH ONLY, so it does dampen your spirits if the plastic is your choice of payment. I believe I did see an ATM machine, so it works out either way.

Came in for the Sunday drag show and dinner. We had the greatest time ever. I guess they were having a drag competition. We enjoyed it so much we called our friends to come out for the show!! NO COVER!! We had the Kobe burger offered by our server! By far the BEST burger we ever had!!! After that, they had an awesome dance party!!! We will return!!

Really nice! A little crowded later on in the night (I went in about 7:30 pm and it was pretty relaxed), but totally understandable and still very peaceful. Nobody was rude, and the bartender was very sweet. I'm a very shy person and it was my first time at a bar and I loved it! Would definitely go again, even if just to watch RuPaul with a crowd in a nice atmosphere.

We came here on a Saturday, and it was a great dance vibe. Upstairs has a pretty big dance floor and played great music from classics to new school. Everyone's in a great mood which makes for a great vibe. The first floor had drinks pool and karaoke which was cool.
