So my brother n law and I have been spearfishing out of cypermort point since we were teenagers and when we discovered grandisle we thought we found Paradise. The only problem was, Everytime we tried to bring our wives they were always reluctant to come. saying "there's no nice places up there" I guess after you here something long enough you decide to do something... so, boom "Almost Amaris" was built, a paradise within a paradise!! no more excuses.... righttt??? well now it's "the water's to dirty". Well I'ma sit out on that one fellas 😆... Anyhow This luxurious hand crafted 4 bedroom 3 bath paradise offers; granite slab counter tops, stainless appliances, WIFI access, 55'' LCD flat screen TV with cable access, Boiling pot for craw-fish boils and a master suite. It has a total of 11 beds; 3 queens 2 fulls and 6 twins, so sleeping your pirate crew won't be an issue. You will have access to everything but the shed downstairs and the closet off the pantry. There's nothing to see in there anyway, just a bunch of dusty old gold and silver from Jean Laffites pirate ship. ....... Just kidding!!! but for real though.... if you look from the balcony towards the far end of the island you will see a large brick fort (fort Livingston). This is actually a fort built by Jean Laffites pirates back in 1840s . If you have access to a boat you can visit it. It's pretty neat, we went a few times. ..... and yes, Unfortunately, our boat is not of access... unless there's some gold or silver in exchange, of course. If you need something I live in Lafayette so I may be of no help... but I know a few Macgyvers that work on the island. Some people ask us why we named the camp "Almost Amaris". Well the name Amaris means "promised by God" but please, don't be to quick to judge. We had the name picked out before we knew the meaning really..... So If you were at our camp gazing off the back porch you would have sites of beautiful luxurious private homes that belong to a high end gated community called "Amaris" .. it's the neighborhood that we almost belong too 😊 Idk if there's Uber out there. But if there is, your driver may show up in a boat and if he isn't in a boat, then he's definitely pulling one. We are right across the street from the state park, and all though it may cost a few bucks to get in, you have a pond with fishing piers and miles of beaches. unfortunately "the water is still dirty" there too..

Wake up at our Gulf Front Suite with a view of Louisiana's gulf coast. This two bedroom suite is located at the Inn, directly on the beach. The Gulf Front Suite has one of two options #5 has a double bed in each bedroom and a single bed and a futon in the living room that converts into an additional double bed. Unit #6 has a double and a single in each bedroom and a futon in the living area.Our full-size kitchen includes a refrigerator, sink, electric stove, microwave, coffee maker, and dishes. We also provide outdoor grills and gas burners, with pots for boiling. Come enjoy the beautiful views of the beach right from the comfort of your room or step right out and sit on the deck to watch the beautiful skies, dolphins, and birds passing by. Located at the Inn on the beach, this freshly renovated Deluxe Suite has two bedrooms with a double bed in each bedroom. The Deluxe Suite includes a futon in the living room that can be converted into a double bed. The kitchenette has a full-size refrigerator, sink, microwave, coffee maker, and dishes available. No cooking stove in unit, but guests are encouraged to use our brand new stove located in the outdoor cooking area. We also provide outdoor grills, gas burners, and pots for boiling seafood. Please note that there are no direct views of the beach from inside the Deluxe Suite. However, the back deck of the Inn, which faces the beach, is a very short walk and can be enjoyed by all guests. If your party would like to have a kitchen stove, our Cottages and Gulf Front Suites include stoves (outdoor grills, gas burners, and pots for boiling are also provided). Camp Poppa Honey Gus has all the comforts of home, but with the added bonus of Gulf and Bay views. The beach is a short walk across the street on a designated levee crossover. This cozy beach house has two private bedrooms (1st bedroom has a queen bed with a private bathroom; the second bedroom has a full bed with shared access to the second bathroom). The third bedroom is semi-private with a full lower and twin upper bunk. Each private bedroom has its own Roku TV. The house is also equipped with a washer/dryer laundry center for your use (Some detergent provided). Pillows and Bath/Bed linens are provided. Don't forget your beach towel! The house has a wrap around deck with a large front porch for relaxing, tanning or hanging out at the bar top table. Burnt out from the sun? Enjoy the shade and lounge in the hammock under the camp on the concreted area. The house includes a nice size kitchen stocked with a microwave, oven range, sink, refrigerator/freezer, coffee maker (k-pod and brewer), kitchen utensils, pots and pans and dishes. The living area has plenty of seating with a kitchen table that seats six, two full size sofas, a recliner, and oversized chair - all with views of the Roku TV. Wi-fi is free to renters. A charcoal grill, fish cleaning station, pot and propane burner are provided for outdoor cooking (propane bottle is provided;however, renter is responsible for filling).

The Larger Sea View Island Cottage has a lovely view of the Gulf, and the beach is a short walk across the street. This two bedroom sea view Island cottage has a large front porch with a comfortable glider and chairs to relax the day away. The cottage includes a full-size kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, sink, microwave, coffee maker, and all kitchen utensils and dishes. The Larger Sea View Island Cottage is available in two types of living quarters to accommodate families and individuals: option one includes two double beds in each bedroom; option two has two double beds in one bedroom and a double and single bed in the other bedroom. A convertible futon in the living room is also included. Grills, pots, and burners are provided for outdoor cooking. Outdoor fish cleaning station also provided.
