People Make Glasgow
This is a small private tour. Often only 4/5 guests. We meet George Square, between the Lions. For the 10.30 tour we focus on Glasgow’s city centre it’s mysterious history and association with tobacco and slavery. Walking around the city centre ending at Glasgow Cross the heart of the Medieval city. The tour examines how Glasgow went from being a small rural medieval city around 500 CE to the world's powerhouse with a population of over a million people. The city has re-invented itself several times and is now transforming itself into one of worlds most beautiful cities from an ugly industrial despoiled blot. Trace the slave trade and the ruthless barons who profited from the mysery of millions of africans. But before them it was Scotsmen who were enslaved to colonies in the Americas. We explore Glasgow's complex social, religous and political past when tanks patrolled Glasgow city centre and riots led to executions at Glasgow Cross. Glasgow has it all from political religous and social strife. Gordon is a great raconteur, a trained actor with a comedic talent. Starting George Square, through the financial district (Glasgow's fifth avenue), Buchanan street then exploring the Merchant City, Hutcheson's Hosptial, Ramshorn Kirk, Old fruit market, Tron Kirk and Steeple then down to the Medieval High street and Mercat Cross.

While their gin is distilling they will enjoy a cocktail and once their gin has been distilled, they will taste their newly made gin before bottling, labelling, naming and wax sealing their end product. Edinburgh's Original Harry Potter Tour
After learning a spell or two, we start our tour in Edinburgh's historic Greyfriars Kirkyard where JK Rowling found several names for characters in the books. You'll learn who the world's worst poet was and which Hogwarts character is named after him as well as visiting the grave of Lord Voldemort himself. From here we'll also talk about two buildings that helped to inspire Hogwarts and of course give one lucky member of the group the chance to be sorted! From Greyfriars we'll take you out into the streets, past the suspiciously named Potterrow and on to three locations where JK Rowling wrote. We'll track her escalation of wealth from relying on free coffees from her brother-in-law in the Nicolson Cafe to trashing the most expensive hotel in the city, via the famous Elephant House. We conclude our tour on the real life Diagon Alley, better known by muggles as Victoria Street. This tour is highly interactive with a house point competition along the way and plenty of opportunities to ask our expert guides whatever you like. We are the original, biggest and highest-rated Harry Potter tour in Edinburgh. Currently ranked number 1 out of all Edinburgh Tours on TripAdvisor, featured in The Times, PBS and BBC Scotland, with nearly a decade's experience behind us - you will not be disappointed!
Find a hidden Glen in Scotland's woods
We'll embark upon a journey whereby we get you to a mystical place, where we'll delve deep into forrest, enjoying the song of the birds and the gushing sound of the gorge underneath us, walk along the gorge, looking down at the amazing waterfalls and taking pictures of it. Then we will get to an ancient "staircase", where we need to climb down, using the ropes alongside the "stairs" and once we get to the bottom, we'll gaze upon an amazing gorge between the rocks covered with moss, crystal clear water, cold as ice, but a place looking like a haunted scenery out a fairy tale. This is Finnich Glen, that locals thought of being a place of the devils, an isolated and remote looking area, that gives you the chills and excitement in the same time. No wonder this place has been used as a scenery for the Outlander movie. For those brave ones, who want to get further into the glen, you can roll up your pants and get into the water (warning: extremely cold) and walk along and see an amazingly mesmerising world in front of you. Other things to note A good head for heights is necessary as it involves climbing down some slippery stairs, holding onto some ropes and rocks
