The location is a short walk to the main drag of Abbot Kinney, where you'll find lots of shops, cafes, restaurants, and the buzz of Venice. Overall, it's a beautiful flat and is recommended for anyone who wants a relaxing time in a great neighborhood with friendly, attentive hosts." This is a super-sweet cottage in the back of our property, perfect for a professional looking for a quiet place to come home to after a hard day's work, for a couple wanting some peace and quiet, or for a family with one or two small children. We've just renovated it, and furnished it with lots of love and care. We're one mile from Venice Beach, half a mile to the Venice Canals, and six blocks from the famous Abbot Kinney shopping street, with LA's trendiest boutiques and restaurants. The cottage is roomy and very bright, with five skylights and wood floors. It has a full kitchen, with fridge, toaster and 4-burner modern gas stove. The bedroom area can be closed off from the rest of the space by a semi-circular folding door, and it is furnished with a queen bed. The living area is spacious and bright, with a desk, fold-out couch and TV. The cottage has its own outdoor table and chairs with an umbrella, idyllically situated under a big bougainvillea vine. We provide: - linens, towels and beach towels - a full kitchen with pots and pans, tableware and some basic cooking staples (ketchup, oil and vinegar, salt and pepper, sugar, coffee, tea, etc.) - shampoo, conditioner, soap - two adult bikes (use at no charge, you fix them if they break) - wifi - there is ample free parking on the street, you just have to yield the street cleaning signs to avoid getting a ticket on Wednesday and Thursday mornings, 8-10am. Abbot Kinney has become the hottest boutique and restaurant destination on the West Side, and it's only six blocks away. The beach is only a mile away, with the famed Venice Canals halfway there.

    Our neighborhood is very quiet and save. There is a shopping mall area with movie theaters and grocery stores about 10 minute walk from our house. If you go the other direction there are many little eateries, where you can indulge in various cultural foods such as Sushi, Vegan Thai Food, Mexican and much more. We are close to everything. It's great for biking to the beaches and walking distance to the marina shopping mall. the 90 fwy provides easy access to many places.

    First things first: the space is SMALL, measuring approx 10 feet X 12 feet. After that you will be enchanted by the charm and location of it all. Impeccably styled with a unique LA flair and set within the private compound of a Hancock Park residence. You have a private access through the back yard. Amazing rose garden just outside. Property is safe and secured. A one block walk to all the amenities of Larchmont Village, coffee shops and restaurants abound, which is a good thing because the kitchen here is small as well. If you are looking to do gourmet cooking, you may want to look elsewhere. If you're the type where boiling water is a challenge, this is the place for you! A short walk for morning coffee and anything else you will need is so close by. Having said that, the TINY kitchen is equipped with basic necessities. There is a separate walk in closet area perfect to store luggage clothes, etc. TV in room, OK to watch Netflix and anything online. Also please note: no pool use and no smoking ANYWHERE on property.
    Hancock Park was built and developed in the 1920's for the wealthy and the neighborhood is now historically protected...walk down any of the streets and be amazed at the homes, landscaping and overall charm of the neighborhood, truly one of the best places to live in LA. You will pinch yourself, it really is incredible.

  • אני לא יכול להגיד מספיק דברים טובים על המקום של סטיב. גדלתי בלוס אנג'לס וביקרתי אצל המשפחה בחגים. חששתי מהתנועה בלוס אנג'לס והלחץ להסתובב. המקום של סטיב ממוקם במיקום נוח ומרכזי עם חניה קלה. יש הרבה חנויות במרחק הליכה שהופכות את ארוחת הבוקר וקפה של הבוקר לרוח. הצ'ק-אין היה משב רוח וסטיב עזר מאוד במהלך שהותנו. מצאנו את המקום בגודל טוב לשניים ומעולם לא הרגשנו שאנחנו זוחלים אחד על השני בתוך החלל. אני ממליץ מאוד ומתכנן להישאר עם סטיב שוב בביקורים הבאים שלנו.

  • זוהי דירת מיני מדהימה, מאוד מסוגננת ומחושבת בקפידה - מתכנון חלל להמון שירותים שלא הייתי חושבת עליהם אלא הגיעה לידי שימושית מאוד (למשל מטריה, כבל מאריך, קומקום חשמלי וכו '). הוא שקט מאוד, בשכונה יפה להליכה, והמיטה כל כך נוחה. בסך הכל זה הרגיש מפואר מאוד !!

    Beautiful and secluded private studio in the hills of Echo Park.
    Our home, located above the historic Fellowship Way Trail, was originally built in the early 1900’s for silent film star, Tom Mix. Tucked back in the hills of Echo Park, our space feels private and secluded with breathtaking views of the Hollywood Sign, Griffith Observatory, and San Gabriel Mountains. If you're renting a car there is street parking available with no restrictions. Our small, but cozy studio has a private entrance, a sofa bed (full bed, sleeps 2 comfortably and can be folded up for more room to move around during the day), available closet space, workspace, and shower. There is no kitchen or laundry access, but the house is nearby local cafés and a small mini fridge is provided along with complimentary coffee & tea.
    We’re located just minutes from the shops, restaurants, and bars of Echo Park and Silverlake and a short drive from premium shopping in Pasadena and The Americana at Brand. The neighborhood offers rolling hills and stairway trails that make for excellent hikes. Other nearby attractions are Elysian Park and Dodger's Stadium.

MAX stay is 5 nights. Important note: As of Oct 1st you MUST have your Real ID card before boarding any plane. You can also get to Venice, Santa Monica w/out taking the 405. You must wash hands and use disenfectant and no outdoor shoes allowed.

To get to pier, go right outside gate and cross street and walk left 1 block til you see park/ocean and walk down to pier and head left to go to beach. There's plenty of convenient shopping & shops close (2 blocks). Just go outside gate and go left two blocks to Wholefoods, Riteaid, Smashburger, Pure Barre, Panda Express, Beauty Supply Store, Starbucks, Kirari West Bakery, and 5 minutes to Trader Joe's (Riveria Village). Polly's on The Pier and Tammy's are great breakfast places but the closest is Barney's and they serve breakfast all day. It's also a safe neighborhood and police station is close by. I have an extra room in the front house with private entrance/own bath. Has full size bed, small fridge, and Kuerig coffee machine. Bath is outside room.   • אנג'לה וביתה מדהימים! הבית הקטן והנעים נמצא ממש מאחורי הבית של אנג'לה, כך שבמקרה שיש בעיה, אנג'לה ממש שם כדי לפתור את זה (נגמר לנו ה- TP במהלך שהותנו והיו לנו לחמניות החלפה שחיכו לנו כשחזרנו כמה שעות אחר כך, יחד עם גליל נוסף של מגבות נייר וכמה סופגניות תפוחים). היינו בעיר לחתונה, אז המרחב החיצוני היה ממש נהדר כשחברים אחרים שביקרו גם בחתונה עצרו לידם כדי לשוחח. אין שום דבר קריטי שאני יכול לומר על המרחב הזה. לא לעתים קרובות אנו מבקרים בחוף רדונדו, אך בפעם הבאה שאנו באזור, לא נהסס להתארח שוב באנג'לה!

  • אנג'לה היא מארחת מעולה! אחרי יום ארוך, היא ציפתה שאחזור והייתה לי נרות לייט בחצר הצדדית המקסימה לקבל את פני הביתה. אורות היו מכוונים בעצים בחצר הפרטית שלך ממש ליד חדר השינה. יש "דלת הולנדית" יקירה עם וילונות לבנים וזורמים נושבים ברוח. הרגשתי כל כך בטוחה להיות בבית האחורי שהשארתי את הדלת פתוחה כל הלילה כדי ליהנות מהבריזה האוויר הצח והקריר. בחוף רדונדו יש אקלים כל כך נפלא כל השנה. אנג'לה חשבה על כל נוחות! סל ברכה, קפה ובייגלה לארוחת הבוקר הראשונה שלך. חנויות מכולת נהדרות נמצאות במרחק של רחוב משם. אל תהססו לשהות בקוטג 'המקסים הזה!

Light-filled, with plants, and lots of funky art work. There is one queen sized bed, and one pull out sofa. Please NO EXTRA GUESTS (MAXIMUM IS 2), NO PHOTO SHOOTS, NO PARTIES/EVENTS.
    This space is a classic Spanish style house built in 1932, but has been completely renovated with all new everything. We are nestled in the heart of the historic Wrigley neighborhood in Long Beach. A minibar with fridge, microwave, and coffee maker, crisp linens (hypoallergenic), towels, games, and Netflix await you. You'll find coffee, tea, water, and some rotating treats floating around. You'll also love the 48 inch Smart LED television. There is one queen bed, and one pull out sofa. Get to downtown, the beach, Bixby Knolls, Cal Heights or Belmont Shore within minutes. Several culturally diverse restaurants with fantastic food, and amazing coffee shops, sprinkled around the neighborhood just a short drive away.
    The neighborhood is culturally and architecturally diverse. It is all residential houses around us. A lot of people ask if you can walk to shops and restaurants, and although there are a handful 5-6 blocks away, it is easier to bike, drive, uber to larger retail areas like Belmont Shore or Downtown.

    We remain available for guests during the Covid-19 lockdown. Indeed we have had several essential front-line workers who have used the guesthouse to perform services vital to the community. We do our best to sanitize the guesthouse between guests. If you are high-risk, please let us know and keep your distance. Our poolside guesthouse has separate access from the main house and can be accessed from the street without disturbing us. The guesthouse has two bedrooms and a private shower bathroom. The larger room has a queen bed and room to squeeze in a queen air mattress. The smaller room has a bunk with a twin (sleeps 1) over full (sleeps 2.) SEE PHOTO OF LAYOUT. The larger room opens to and overlooks our swimming pool (solar heated from late May through mid - September), which is available to guests. You are always renting the entire guesthouse. While we have had as many as 8 people sleep in the room (using the air mattress), if you are a group of more than 4 adults, you will probably find the space crowded, especially if you stay several days and have luggage. There is usually enough hot water for everyone to take a shower and there is an outdoor shower as well if that is helpful. Free and easy street parking. AMENITIES: High-speed Wifi, and a 32-inch HD Smart TV with Cable (No HD for cable.) You can use it to watch on-demand Netflix, Prime, HBO, etc if you have your own account. You may use our washer and dryer when we are not using them (max: one load per paid night.) FOOD: There is no kitchen; however, the large room has a coffee-maker and a microwave; we will provide (upon request) a propane or butane stove-top for use outdoors only (camping style.) You have access to a fridge/freezer. We also provide pots and pans, plates and bowls, and knives and forks for eating outside. There is a donut/coffee shop less than 100 meters away. There are also several restaurants within walking distance. Most of our guests do not cook here; however, you are welcome to if you prefer using the microwave or portable outdoor cooktop. If you use the dishes, pots or pans, we expect you to clean them before leaving. (Alternatively, you can leave our housekeeper a $5.00 tip to wash the dishes after your stay.) BIKES: We have up to six adult bikes you can borrow, which, along with locks and helmets. (You are responsible for ensuring the bikes are safe to use. We are not a bike shop.) We do not guarantee that we will have a bike to fit every guest or that all six bikes will be available or operational. Typically, we have at least 2 - 3 usable bikes available. PRIVACY: The guesthouse is at the back of the property, so we are not likely to disturb you if you are in the guesthouse. However, we are a busy household with a family of up to 7 including adult children ages 18 and up, a small Maltese, and a chocolate lab puppy. You may encounter any of our family or friends in the backyard, playing basketball, swimming in the summer, building things, or engaged in other ventures. Most guests tell us the room is quiet, but we don't guarantee that. On a warm day, we are often outside in the backyard or in the pool so you won't have privacy if you choose to hang out by the pool or swim. TWO ROOM LAYOUT: One of the pictures is our attempt to show the layout of the rooms. The two rooms are both connected to the one bathroom and there is no direct access from one bedroom to the other. These two rooms are always rented together. You will not be sharing the bathroom with someone you don't know. Some families with older guests have left reviews complaining about the bathroom being in the middle and how this makes using the bathroom problematic. Also, because we don't want people locked in, the bathroom doors do not lock. If you are not going to be comfortable with this situation, please do not book. We don't want uncomfortable guests. The price quoted is always for the entire two-room suite. We are on the premises, but the guesthouse is a separate detached unit and you are renting the entire guesthouse. DOGS/PETS: We have a small old white blind Maltese and a choc Labrador puppy (7 months as of May 2020). Most of our guests love the puppy, but he's not particularly well mannered (he's a puppy). The Maltese doesn't venture out much anymore so you probably won't meet her. Please do not invite either of them onto the beds. We call the Maltese Snowball, and the Lab Murfy. If they cause you any trouble, let us know. You are allowed to bring a dog (no cats), but you must pick up after your dog, and dogs are not allowed on the furniture. You must inform us in advance if you are bringing a dog. We will charge you as if you had an additional person. So, if you are three people and you have a dog, book for 4 people AND LET US KNOW THAT YOU HAVE DONE THIS. (That is, write on the msg board that you booked for three people and a dog.) INFANTS: We consider all people as well as dogs to be guests. Even if you have an infant, please include him or her in your count of guests and let us know that you have done so. According to Airbnb, the guesthouse is not "suitable for children under 2" because of the pool, however, we have no problem with infants as long as you understand the risks. We raised our 5 children in this backyard with this pool. FRUIT TREES: We have a garden full of fruit trees that we love. At times, there may be something in season that we will offer you. Unfortunately, these trees attract squirrels and other critters and there isn't much we can do to keep them away. NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY: The suite opens directly on to the swimming pool (about 12 feet from the door to the edge of the pool.) Be aware of this if you have children or cannot swim. Also, the pool is usually covered from May to mid-October to keep it warm, which makes falling in dramatically more dangerous. Outside of these dates, only the very brave or hearty would swim. There is no fence around the pool, we could forget to leave the outside lights on at night.
    VERY LOCAL ATTRACTIONS: We are less than two miles from the nightlife in Belmont Shore (2nd Street), or lovely Seal Beach. There are great walks or short bike rides around the local waterways. BEACHES: We are less than 2 miles from the beach. A short bike ride in the summer will help you avoid the hassle of parking.

    Please read thoroughly. This location close to all that Downtown Long Beach has to offer and convenient to public transportation to other areas of LA and Orange County. The neighbors are friendly in this small downtown complex. Expect the noise of a busy alive downtown area. (But please don’t disturb them call or text me) This is a downtown spot with all the eyes of a downtown area. There are a diverse aray of people in downtown Long Beach. This is not a suburban area this is downtown in the 3rd largest city in Southern California and the 7th in California. There are transients, homeless, tourists, families, young and old from all walks of life normal to a downtown area. You will see strange, you may be asked for money. I've never had any trouble. If you are Leary of others talking to you or asking for money this is probably not a good area for you. I would not walk alone at night as I would not in any city area I've never had anything happen and I've never felt unsafe. However if you are not use to the city this may not be for you. It is close walking distance or short free bus ride to many of the cities attractions which makes it an convenient place to stay while on business or pleasure.

BELMONT HEIGHTS The premiere Long Beach neighborhood bordered by Belmont Shore and the Pacific Ocean. LONG BEACH Centrally located between Los Angeles and Orange County, Long Beach boasts the Aquarium of the Pacific, the historic Queen Mary, the Convention Center and the Port. Within an hours drive you'll find Universal Studios, Disneyland, and almost every Southern California attraction.
    This 200 square foot studio offers an Organic Queen Mattress and attached bathroom with a large walk-in shower. There is no kitchen but Ma & Pa's Grocery Store, Starling Diner and all the restaurants on 2nd Street are nearby.
    Our neighborhood in Long Beach, Belmont Heights, is slightly inland from Belmont Shore but equally walkable to 2nd Street with all of its 250+ restaurants and shops. Many people find living in Belmont Heights preferable to the shore area because of the ample parking and larger lot sizes. The ocean is approximately 5 blocks from the cottage. There are several unique spots within a 3 to 5 minute walk including the Starling Diner and Ma and Pa's Grocery. In addition to being walkable to Belmont Shore, the Pacific Ocean, 2nd Street, Marine Stadium and Naples, the cottage is only a short drive to Seal Beach, the Long Beach Convention Center, downtown Long Beach, the Queen Mary, the Port of Long Beach and the Long Beach Airport. The cottage is also within 25 miles of Orange County Airport, LAX and Disney.

    Pass through the electronic gate and private entrance and indulge in the complimentary snacks on the fold-out leaf table. Fine interior touches include antique heirloom artwork and a serving tray, while outside 2-level seating and a fire pit await. We follow rigorous cleaning and sanitizing protocols from the CDC during COVID-19. We ventilate rooms, wash hands frequently, wear gloves, clean, then disinfect with bleach or 70% alcohol. Our cleaning crew focuses on frequently touches surfaces, incl light switches, doorknobs, remote controls, and faucets, and wash all linens at highest heat.
    Attention to detail prevails throughout the apartment. The craftsman style space includes custom cabinets, high/vaulted ceilings, granite counter tops and walk-in closet. Established trees can be viewed from the master bedroom picture window and private deck which gives the space a tree house effect. The space can comfortably fit up to 4 guests. We will provide a variety of organic breakfast items including coffee, orange juice, milk, cream, half & half, cereal, fruit, yogurt and breads/pastries. Wine will be available upon request. Guests have an electronic gate and their own private entrance.Guests have access to their own deck, complete kitchen and laundry facilities. Interaction with guests will be kept to a minimum in order to respect their privacy, however, we will be happy to assist any way possible to provide a great experience. We live in a separate location on site so we will be present during the guests stay. We love our neighborhood! If you love craftsman, California bungalow, custom and historical homes this is the place. There are parks, the Colorado Lagoon, Marine Stadium, 2nd Street with shops and great restaurants, and of course the beach all within walking distance. There are a variety of farmer's markets and in the summer local concerts in the park. There is public transportation (buses) nearby. There is plenty of street parking. We are conveniently located between LAX (25 minutes), Orange County (SNA) Airport (20 minutes) and Long Beach Airport (10 minutes). PLEASE BE AWARE OF STREET SWEEPING DAYS!! SIGNS ARE POSTED FOR THURSDAY AND FRIDAY AM STREET SWEEPING.
