It's hard to make a single recommendation. There is a ton of great nightlife and sights in Downtown Seattle. I would recommend staying on the north-end of downtown; Pioneer Square can be a bit dirty and is close to the industrial district.
Beltown is a nice area with great nightlife.

Close to three major highways!
You are on I-90 which heads East to the mountains and hiking, West to Seattle.
West also takes you to I-5 which covers most of the major cities.
I-90 West also connects directly to I-405 which is the parallel highway to I-5 on the East side of Lake Washington (affectionately called the "Eastside"). The Eastside has some better shopping in Bellevue, and nice parks along Lake Washington.

I'd recommend the AllTrails app to find the best local hiking.
Big Si, Little Si, Rattlesnake and Lake Sammamish State Park are all great hikes/trails.

Are you a golfer?
LOTS of beautiful courses nearby that don't require club membership. Willows Golf Course is inexpensive and challenging enough for a wide range of experience.
The Golf Club at Newcastle is not only the closest, but by far has the most beautiful views of a golf course in the area. It also has two great courses.

Into show cars or classic cars?
If you are around on the weekend then there are often many classic and sports car shows around. XXX Burgers in Issaquah usually has one, and that's just a few minutes from the Eastgate GuestHouse.
There are many others around as well, you can usually find them quickly on Google!

MUSEUMS
There are actually quite a few great museums in the Seattle area. The Asian Art Museum, the Frye Museum of Modern Art, and of course the Seattle Art Museum just to name a few. There's also the Olympic Sculpture Park. The Bellevue Art Museum is just up the street as well.
