Ivan and Kate moved to Sedbergh around 6 years ago. In 2017 they opened up a rustic Italian Restaurant in the centre of the town. Ivan, a baker and chef by trade, was born in a quaint Italian town deep in the Apennine mountains. Growing up in a traditional Italian family home, Ivan learned to cook authentic, hearty meals from ‘La Cucina della mama’ (his mamas kitchen) which he serves in the restaurant today. Kate, originally from the North East of England, met Ivan in Italy whilst on one of her many adventures travelling. Her experience front of house comes from work in many European countries, learning and perfecting her customer service skills, even going on to study it at management level. Together they run a beautiful, clean, friendly and homely restaurant with beautiful food and amazing customer service.
