Mardi Gras World is definitely worth a visit. You get to see the Mardi Gras floats and how they are built as well as learn the history of Mardi Gras in New Orleans. They offer a complimentary shuttle from a few downtown hotels including Harrah’s Hotel

Where I used to work! Very interesting for those with and appreciation for building and making- to see the process of prop and float-making, see floats up close and personal, as well as to pick up some local legendary Mardi Gras history.

This is a really fun museum and a great way to learn a little more about the history and culture surrounding mardi gras. Try king cake, watch the artists create floats in real life.. this is a fun stop along the New Orleans journey.

Mardi Gras World is a tourist attraction located in New Orleans. Guests tour the 300,000 square foot working warehouse where floats are made for Mardi Gras parades in New Orleans. Mardi Gras World is located along the Mississippi River, next to the Morial Convention Center.
