After a trip to Japan, this was the only restaurant in the area that hit the spot. For all intents and purposes this is like an izakaya, but the legend is the owner actually worked for the Japanese ambassador to Venezuela. At any rate, whether you're hankering for proper katsudon or just want an assortment of nigiri, this is the only place that tries to please without going off the rails with with gloppy dragon rolls or even worse the rolls with ripe plantains in it. One time they even made me curry tonkatsu. Their ramen game is not amazing, but they will make a decent one. They also stock good sake and Japanese groceries so you can try your hand at making your own recipes at home.

Inside the unassuming facade of this restaurant, you will find a delicious variety of sushi and Japanese hot foods. Excellent value... some of the best I have ever had!

Our personal favorite local sushi restaurant. Prices are not ridiculous but the sushi is comparable to a $$$$ sushi place. Japanese owned.
