We also recommend that if you have time to visit the town of Teguise, in the center of the island. Former capital of Lanzarote with Palaces that will remind you of South America. In almost all places you eat and cover very well. On Saturdays there is a market and a highly recommended tapas atmosphere.

The old capital, one of the most beatiful towns in Spain. During the week isin a empty silence. Sunday morning a massive famous outdorr market. Good restaurants and terraces. 15 min by car.

It is the old capital of Lanzarote, it is very historical with arts and craft shops. A typically beautiful Spanish Church and square. Many cafes, bars and restaurants.

Teguise is the oldest town in the Canary Islands and used to be Lanzarote's capital Cobbled streets and whitewashed old buildings, many restaurants & shops plus the hugely popular Teguise market
