If you enjoy XC skiing or snowshoeing this is a great place to go. Its a flat trail that goes around the lake on the other side of I-90. Its a lovely trip that is 100% flat. The snowshoe area runs parallel to the ski trail . I thinks its a better ski area to be honest If you need gear you can rent at the adjoining Snoqualmie Summit nordic rentals area I believe. Do check first as its been a decade since I did this. They have a way more adventurous XC Ski area on top of the Summit. *Experts only I would recommend. Or rent at the DT Seattle REI store on Yale St- they have great return polices, *We also have some shoe shoes you could borrow- small & large sizes only

During winter, there is a nice sledding hill for the kids near here. *Just a reminder that there is a fee to park here! There IS an on-site pay station though.*

Groomed XC skiing trails beginning at the ski resort with trails near the John Wayne trail.

The best local spot for sledding. But be aware you need to book on line ahead of time and get a parking pass and get there early as it can fill up on weekends and holidays
